Keir Starmer

He did a full round of interviews, it is highly unlikely that he didn't get a call or text asking him what he was playing at and telling him to stop it between those appearances

And it would seem he must have chose to ignore it and carry on regardless.

He wanted to get sacked.
Cheers, mate, wasn’t aware of that. So, he made a conscience choice to either back his own views or support the Party who are trying to win power and could change the country.

If so, what a wanker. So strange for a front bencher to do such a thing.

Doesn’t surprise me though, seems that the left don’t want change. Are those that are complaining most earning a decent living and actually looking after themselves?

At the speed things are falling apart, any announcement is likely to be irrelevant within days or weeks.

I see Martin Lewis of MoneySupermarket is suggesting the energy cap rise will be 77%, or £1500. That's going to put a lot of people in a lot of trouble very quickly.
Possibly £1000 to heat houses in December and January and the government are on holiday for six weeks!

Yes I saw that. Given that Lewis genuinely seems to have no political allegiance and is not given to sensationalism it is really worrying. Depressingly I think our way out of inflation may be interest rate surge, a wage freeze, house price collapse and a very gradual reduction in energy costs. The folk able to weather that storm are the same top percentile that have made a fortune over the last couple of years.

He wasn't a front bencher - he wasn't Shadow Transport Secretary.

He was a shadow transport minister, with responsibility for buses and local transport.

Bollocks.

He was.

Keir is trying to dig himself out a hole he didn't need to create.

Except others have joined pickets and not been sacked.

As far as I know he was the only one to give interviews without approval from comms or his bosses.
