Keir Starmer

Not sure which Miliband you’re referring to, but the way David was screwed by McCluskey and your mates was an absolute fucking disgrace, and a major turning point in modern politics in this country.

Ed didn’t get in partly because of his policies, partly because he a strange, awkward **** who couldn’t lead a dog around a park.

And Corbyn didn't get in cos he wouldn't wear a tie whilst Johnson always looked like he'd been at a boozer every night for week and nothing is said, but he was 'lovable'.

More bollocks media spin.

I'm not surprised we are where we are, either.

I don't have one, that's why I asked.

Can see why might have met him under some duress and/or to facilitate safe passage if going on a humanitarian mission, don't know enough either way to say that it wasn't a genuine mission. So I'll assume it was.

But was it necessary to praise the commander's military prowess/spirit when he died?

Is he just a bit thick or has someone whispered an activation code in his ear?

Fuck me we are on the road to 'wreath laying ' territory here. Even more absurd is personal friend of the Lebedevs Chris Bryant shouting look over there potential Russian asset ........ 7 years later.

Not much detail in there....

Christ. The wrong Miliband brother is one of the most boring alternative forks in history.

David never looked like an awkward Mr Bean at a photo op either.

Yeah I watched it. I saw it a few weeks back the first time round this 6/7 year old clip emerged on Twitter. It was probably the day after he began doing some media rounds. Didn't seem to gain much traction and it appears the liberal attack dogs are back for another bite at the cherry.

As for the content yeah..... the wording was clumsy and the tone was over aggressive. I'm in no way advocating for hatred of the liberal left but then again you chucking in a Trump comparison is testing my resolve on that front. However poorly he put it across his argument was that the abandonment of the working class by the liberal left has helped to amplify the voices of bigots like Robinson, and to a degree I think he makes a valid point.

The only reference to ethnic minorities he makes in that clip is in reference to what *he* believes are the calculations the liberal left make in their pitch for potential support. Like I say clumsy language open to interpretation by people seeking to smear. If he'd made the claim that it was the *white* working class who were being abandoned your accusation may be valid....... but he didn't so it isnt.
I agree with your interpretation of his language and delivery being clumsy.

Does that make both of us part of the “smear”?

As I’ve said previously, I like a lot of what I’ve seen from him recently, I absolutely think he’s well intentioned and I have similar beliefs to him on wages and energy prices.

Being disappointed in that video isn’t a “smear”. It’s possible to have nuance and grey areas in your opinions of someone, it doesn’t have to be universally partisan or smear.

World of difference between that wreath and this berk's remarks.

A distinct lack of foresight too. 5 years later even the separatists admitted that that monster killed and crippled civilians for money.

Oh dear.

Keith won't be happy with the NEC results. How dare the members elect a leftie who's a proud of her Jewish heritage and a socialist.

All of a sudden she's an Anti Semite for being a socialist.

Notwithstanding a sizeable chunk of the electorate are as dumb as dog biscuits.

Here’s a thought..

Unite Labour and the left to get the Tories out and decimate them in Parliament.

Once Labour are in power, try to move the party to the left, or launch a new party of the left as an opposition to Labour.

That movement would have a far higher chance of success if there was an incumbent Labour government rather than a Tory one.

The UK political needle has been moving further rightwards for the last 12 years. It needs to be dragged back to the middle before you can move it too far left.

It’s just absolutely bizarre how if people can’t have their exact perfect birthday present Labour now, they’d prefer to stick with the Tories. Spoiled, snobby, weird.
You have described the right wing of the Labour party to perfection.

They could not have their dream, threw their toys out of the pram because there was a left wing leader, they campaigned against him, some left and formed Change UK and now they expect the left to forgive them for their treason. They enabled the Tory shit show, not the left, it was spoiled snobby weird Labour centrists that gave us Johnson.

If we’d had Starmer as Labour leader during the referendum, we’d have had a stronger opposition leader‘s voice on the remain side of the debate.

Now, I recognise you, and the rest of the harder left, wanted to leave the EU, but having Starmer as leader in 2016 would have meant we probably wouldn’t have voted to leave the EU, Cameron would still be in charge and the lunatics sidelined.
