Comments made to activists, calling a Tory government scum, hardly worth talking about is it?
It absolutely is if you're a top politician and being touted in some quarters as a potential leader. She'll win fuck all with language like that. It'll go down well on here, but certainly not with voters. Labour need better.

Exactly you don't someone in high office who uses languague such as scum.

Or bum boy, picaninnies, letter boxes, bank robbers etc.

Tbf Scum is a mild insult compared to the PMs list of comments, aslo scum is not even worthy of them as even scum would be offended to be associated with this cabinet of twats.

She could always talk about Kermit the frog in a speech to other world leaders. That adds a certain gravitas.

Why can't she use the word scum? Particularly when it's at an internal conference not meant for public ears. No matter where your political allegiencies lie, everybody comments on how out of touch with reality politicians are with their eatonian upbringing and jobs for the boys mentality. She comes from a "normal" area, used a word that's commonplace in the surroundings she's grown up in and lives in she's being accused of dragging politics into the gutter by the Tories for a solitary word. To me, thats far more offensive. I suppose it would be perfectly okay if she had used a word thats at the very least mildly racist but sounds funny because nobody has used that word in the last 80 years.

Nothing wrong with what she said and good on her for refusing to back down at the slightest sight of an extreme overreaction from the media.

She should have used improbus, it would probabaly been seen as acceptable as it ain't common and quite posh

Tory government incompetent arseholes. The alternative is the current Labour Party who think saying only a woman can have a cervix is false. Damned either way and the country’s political scene is on its arse. Rayner thick as mince also, explains a lot that she was fed on shaving cream.

Should I worry about empty shelves , empty petrol stations , shortage of care home staff , the NHS falling apart or the use of the term scum for the biggest bunch of cunts ever to govern this country in modern history.

The problem is we can all call the Tories scum as much as we like, she can call them scum as much as she likes no problem. Getting caught doing it is the problem. Will the people who need to vote Labour react well to her using such a phrase? What should they think about her political competence. Say she gets caught calling Putin scum or the Chinese leader etc...

Labour suffered badly when Corbyns previous utterings were brought up but he never thought he would be trying to win an election when he did certain things that looked bad.

It shows a lack of awareness and intelligence on her part. Sounding like rick from the young ones may play very well to a certain base to the rest it’s childish and very much amateur hour.

I think saying do we really want a Prime minister who heaps misery on the poor and upsets women with his backward thinking plays better than shouting Tory scum.

The Guardian reporting that Piers Corbyn has been chucked out of Jeremy Corbyn’s fringe meeting for asking a question. The moderator ruled that only women and people of colour could ask questions.

WTF????

Both Corbyns are fucking loons from opposite ends of the political spectrum. Who gives a fuck what either of them get up to.

I take the WTF is the moderators rule and not the corbyn going all gallagher on each other and causing a scene between them.

If so it really isn't a WTF moment, many of the fringe events will be on a certain subject and will be aimed at giving certain voices a chance to be heard if this was such aimed at women and people of colour, others males and non people of colour attending woyld know that and be fime with it, it is not some plan to obstruct debate or inclusion. Of the clip I saw plenty of white males are there so no one seems to be censored or arsed about the terms of the event.

Well bar an anti vax climate change denying loon and his mate.

If the WTF was for cobyn on cobyn, well both are bellends anyway.

Wow.

How is that Tory politicians get voted into power no matter what they say, past or present and yet Labour politicians have to be sieved for 'the right stuff' to be vote worthy?

Utter UTTER rubbish and why the public vote against their own interests every single time once the MSM have a say on who is "worthy" and who is not.

Every. Single. Time.

She’s in a position of power and influence and should act responsible and professional at all times.

If everyone in politics used words like that to attack the opposition it would be all out anarchy before long.

I certainly don’t want anyone in power who will calling people scum, regardless if she is correct or not.

Nye Bevan: That is why no amount of cajolery, and no attempts at ethical or social seduction, can eradicate from my heart a deep burning hatred for the Tory Party that inflicted those bitter experiences on me. So far as I am concerned they are lower than vermin.

She should stick to joking about bombing opposition member’s hotel rooms, right?
