I was a member of the Labour party back in the day i don't care about race gender or ethnicity it is the modern left's Obsession with these issues that put's people of voting for them, they would indeed get by without my vote the trouble is millions share my view manage without their votes.

its a liberal left obsession, the old left were anti racist by default, but it was in mind mainly about class.

Thoughts on Tories, just for balance?

My thoughts on all RW politics are well documented on here, this current crop are easily the worst of all the RW governments we have ever had.

Rascal is a good poster who I like but he’s been shitting on Starmer from Day 1 and would rather Labour lose because he isn’t left wing enough for him, infuriating and a reason the Tories have managed to stay in power for 13 years.

Wrong way round, Starmer has been shitting on the left since day 1, the reason the Tories won the last election when we could have have had a proper left wing government is the right wing of the Labour shat all over the left once again, it is they who enabled this shit show, not me.

There are a few like that ,for me politics is for only one thing helping people live a better life making the country better. No party will please everyone no party will tick all boxes for anyone.
The only vote is the one that makes things better than they are today mainly for the worse off and most vulnerable, for people like rascal they don’t really care about that it’s just some intellectual debate and ideology comes before improving people ‘s lives, if that means another Tory government so be it.

You miss the point of my posts, I want a great country for everyone and believe that is only possible through the prism of Socialism. Capitalism as embraced by both main parties will never make things better for the worse off because capital always serves the owners of capital, not those without capital. Starmer will tinker around the edges and hope to redistribute some resources, but as Reeves speech confirmed it will not be by much and the worse off and most vulnerable will once again pay the price. Reeves FFS supported welfare cuts as did the RW of the Labour party. Her strict fiscal rules could possibly lead to harsher treatment of the worse off and most vulnerable. i.e another Tory government only difference it will have a red tie.

And yet when my family needed help we were lucky to ne under a Blair government and got that help, the NHS was better, perfect no ,help not available now to other families. So the ‘ its makes no difference’ argument is nonsense.
The mythical socialist government you want will never exist so instead of saying Labour Tories same thing compromise get a Labour government and make peoples lives better or din’t and make things worse for people already struggling . Politics is really that simple a choice and not an academic game.
