The thing with Kelechi that I would kind of worry a bit he has up until January 1 to improve more and more and show Pep what he has to offer. Come January he will have more competition from Gabriel Jesus to be that bench player. Dont forget Pep wanted Jesus and is 1 of his players. Will Jesus play as a wide man or a front man or a player behind the forward. I know both guys are young men enough room for both in the squad. But be interesting to see what happens for the rest of the season.

Jesus said he's coming to play as a winger.

I wouldn't worry. Kelechi will get games. I think Jesus might play as a wide forward. If I was Sane, I'd be worried.
More so Navas although he would be very effective deeper. Long season, lots of games and they'll all get chances. I'm more worried about having few options in the pivot spot than I am about being stacked in the forward spots.

Yeah I agree, it's a worry that we have so few options in this area of the pitch.

I think if we can get Kompany back to some sort of consistent fitness he can help alleviate his problem because he will at least attempt to break the lines with forward passes - I know it wasn't great against United but let's not forget he's hardly played. Kolarov is decent at this as well but is obviously hit and miss as a defender.

I think it will be important for both centre backs to be able to cross the halfway line with the ball and play an accurate pass into someone in the final third when we play the more intelligent sides because these sides will simply target our midfield pivot and stop him from turning with the ball.

A lot of its down to off the ball movement as well, in the first half against Southampton nobody in midfield was showing for the ball so we were constantly forced to move it backwards. If Silva and Gundogan are willing to drop deeper and create a passing lane it stops them pressuring Dinho as he can just play a one two and take one or more of their players out of the game.

Looks like a non story. If we sold Kelechi for £16.8m head would roll.

My guess is some paper has made up a rumour, his dad's been asked about it and given the response you'd expect.
Yeah he's one of the top striker prospects worldwide and has 5 years on his contract, I reckon they've left out a 1 at the start.

Well for what it's worth, Nigeria is pretty much locked in to a WC slot. In the AFC only the top team in a group advances. They somehow got placed with both Algeria and Cameroon, so it's no small task. Algeria's team on paper looks top 20 in the world.
