Kelechi Iheanacho

He's going to be with the first team squad next season, he scores at every level that he plays in, interestingly enough, he feels that his best position is a number 8, kind of like the Silva role. Can't wait to see how he gets on this year, I think he will play a bit more than people think.

If he isn't part of the first team squad this season, I'll personally fly over and throttle Pellegrini.

To link up as well as he has, as quickly as he has, shows all the markings of a major talent. Like Garcia, he should make occasional appearances in the first team this year.

The link up play at times with him and Silva and Sterling has been promising from the tour games. I think he has nailed down the start for the first game of season if he stays fit. I think how he has done on the tour will make Bony worry a bit as he will rival Bony as the number 2 striker this season. A great pre season so far from him.

Looking more and more likely Iheanacho will be a part of the first team setup this season. If, as looks likely, we allow Jovetic and Dzeko to move on, and we don't target another striker, then Aguero and Bony isn't sufficient. Sterling can play up front if required, but it's not where we'd get the best out of him. If all of that pans out as expected then Iheanacho will be our third option striker which, when you consider how much football we'll have this season, will mean he is involved a fair bit.

Honestly. We've been there already.
He's from the post-MRI era of Nigerian football. You have footage and pictures of him as a 13 year old winning youth trophies in England. Hell... even compare his size, stature and facial changes from the U17 World Cup and how he looks now.

Its not even remotely funny.

It would be fun to see a front three (in a 4-3-3) of him, Silva, and Sterling with for example Yaya/Pogba, Silva/Nasri, and Fernandinho/Fernando/Delph as the midfield three when Aguero or Bony aren't available. It would be very Barcelona-esque.

Kelechi has quality in abundance and is excellent at two of the most important aspects of the game....finishing and an eye for a killer pass. If he works hard and doesn't listen to all the hype then the sky is the limit for this young lad.

What I like about this guy is that he combines his technical attributes with a great work ethic. He runs the centre halves all game and doesn't let them rest.

He was unfortunate not to get a free kick and someone sent off against Vietnam, when he hussled the defender and managed to get passed him before being pulled to the ground. Kolarov went pretty mental at the ref for that one, and rightly so, as he didn't give us anything.

I've just been calling him Kelechi tbh, much easier and suits him better than Nacho. Like Yaya or Kolo
