He would be dropped if there was someone more creative to come in and start. The change of position hasnt worked compared with last season. He wont get in ahead of Sterling or Sane on the wings. In the middle he just not up to the level we need at the moment in the last few games. Needs to put more work in. I would drop him for the FA Cup game and start him on the bench in Monaco were going to need Yaya and Fernandhino in Midfield for that game and hes the 1 to make way in my opinion. He might well be pissed off about it maybe this is the reason were looking at Isco to come in and add competition to De Bruyne. Silva could well play on for years in Peps team as he is technically our best player rarely wastes a chance to play in the right pass and weight on the ball. KDB can be a bit iffy at times. Still got a lot to learn and will come good if he puts the effort in. But who will come in the summer time.

The new Robinho, as I've said before. Sublime when he's on song but not enough work ethic when it's not going right.
 
Had a look at Whoscored because I wanted to see did the stats back up what I believe I saw, lo and behold there's KDB with 92 touches of the ball as opposed to Yaya with 56, don't think it's fair to question his work ethic last night. He tried to make things happen, he just had a mare ( until he went wide ).

I'm not sure you can point st his work ethic, he will run his nuts off these days. Perhaps this sometimes detracts from his creative side?

He works his nuts off for me, and has often struggled against parked busses.
His passing range is more direct and that requires space.

He was very poor last night, and missed some very easy passes for a player of his ability but he only really had Sergio & Sané to pass to.
Give him Silva and Sterling too, then we see the best of him.
 
KDB needs to be making the same impact as Hazard is for Chelsea.

A match winner week in, week out.

KDB does it once every four or five games, he needs to do it more regularly to be a top player. The talent is there.
 
I think kev tries too hard when he`s having a bad game? seems to force or mis-time his passes when he naturally is a fantastic passer of the ball anyway.
 
KDB is great but seems to get stuck sometimes trying to find every killer pass. Its at times like these you realise how underated David Silva has been for us. Irreplacable.

You're kidding right? I'm getting headache from reading some of the posts in this forum. Yes he hasnt been at his best lately but to call him "The new Robinho" and say that Garcia is a better option at the moment is just so wrong. I know it's just your opinion but tbh it is a really stupid one.

There seems to be something wrong with him at the moment. Whether that be tiredness, out of form, who knows, but for me he needs a rest and dropping for a few games. I really thought he might thrive in that central role last night, but he seemed to really struggle again.

Throw in the amount of times he just failed to control the ball or got run off it and he was approaching Di Maria-esque levels of giving the ball away last night. Almost every attack ended on him. He just has one of those games every now and again where he's completely incapable of getting anything right, it's very odd. Not convinced Garcia is the answer though as he's a far deeper player than Kev, much more a Yaya replacement

He's not at his very best lately, very poor last night until he went wide but he was decent against Huddersfield, Monaco, Bournemouth recently.
 
Yes his inconsistency is frustrating but he's still young and not in what would be called his 'prime years'. All to come that and will eventually become one of our greatest ever players IMO.
 
He could have had 2 assists so he makes enough chances
A poor game by his standards though,he plays better with dave as dave controls the ball so kev can take a few risks,he is not a dave replacement
 
Bad game but kept on trying to the end and did enough to get an assist, just the finishing let him down.

Was probably made to look worse then he was by the uplift when Silva came on, but part of that was Navas going off.

On the work rate think he works hard, will have to watch him closely to see what PB means. But for me he runs and runs.

He was crap against Huddersfield, at least as bad as last night if not worse. He looked quite sharp when he came on at Sunderland though so I was hoping he was back to nearer his best. He's one player I've always thought was well worth what we paid for him but he has been frustratingly poor recently. And I'm not insulting him when I compare him to Robinho,who was possibly the most technically gifted player I've seen in a City shirt at his best but went missing too often. I appreciate Kev doesn't go missing in the same way (although there were worrying signs of that last season) but he's usually so good technically.

Don't agree about Huddersfield mate, a few sloppy passes but grew into it as the game went on, decent over all. Last night was the worst performance I've seen from him in a City shirt, well the first hour was at least, nothing came off for him.
