Kevin De Bruyne - 2016/17 performances

Interesting.... However if he is playing in a deeper role, his chances of ''scoring as a means of overcoming a mental hurdle'' will be low and he did score against West ham. So I think it is more of ,'' he needs a good dominant performance'' than ''he needs to score'' and I suppose tomorrow will be a good opportunity but I will probably rest him for that one.. Monaco is also a great platform to step up.

I get ya, I just feel a goal will give his overall performances a lift right now.

Some very, very basic KDB passes went awry vs Stoke, so I'm hoping he can lift his game to normal levels soon.

He needs to pass more to Sane, noticed this in a few games now, he almost preferred to twist his ankle than pass to him at one point during the match. Sterling and Silva has a rapport with Sane and without those two players De Bruyne, has to step up more and zip the ball in there quick.

His from has been poor of late but produced two scoring chances towards the end of the match.

I remember him doing this to Sterling a lot last season as well, this season too.

For me he is brilliant at doing simple things very well, he is v different to Silva. When he is slightly off his game which he is at the moment it is really noticeable, as the things that he gets wrong seem straightforward.

Something's up with Kevin. He needs to have a few games off to regain his form because I hate watching him give the ball away so much.

He was shite again today lads. His final ball(excluding crosses) has gone to the dogs.

Desperately needs of of those nice crosses to be put in, because his confidence needs a boost.

He was far from shite. Apart from a couple of sloppy passes which I guess was down to concentration he was really good. Created some chances and also did a good defensive job.

When I say shite, I mean it by his own standards.

Still effective, still putting good balls in, but overall nowhere near his best right now.

Yeah definitely agree that he's not at his best but consdering how the last pages have looked I wouldnt be surprised if some genius actually thought he was shite today.

For me, you ain't watching closely enough: his biggest problem is not doing the simple things right time after time. He is hugely talented but not hugely consistent. It's almost like some passes are too easy and so his concentration drops. There was a prime example near the end of today's game when he put a ball into touch.

He's a sublime crosser of the ball. I believe he had a much better game for us today than in recent weeks.

He takes risks, seeing things quickly and trying difficult balls, i really like it. When it pays off he's one of the most destructive players in the game, when it doesn't it looks terrible.

I feel like he needs to adapt a little when Silva isn't in the team, be a bit more controlled. Together they're brilliant though, contrasting styles but working in tandem. Our strongest team has such an amazing balance going forward.

Very impressive in breaking up opponents attacks today which is something that was not really a strength previously.
The Hollywood stuff in front of goal is currently missing but other than that a good day's work.

He's been off the boil recently for some reason.
Maybe Pep has fucked the head off him for not performing to his and Peps standards or maybe he's had his nose put out of joint with the emergence of Sane and Jesus, or he might not be fully fit.
Something's not right imo, but he'd want to start bucking his ideas up as Pep won't tolerate passengers for too long.
