Better. His work off the ball will keep him in Pep's team no matter how badly his form dips but yesterday I saw signs of the best of KDB slowly coming back.

I thought he was significantly better today than the last few games. Not at his best by any means but far fewer passes went astray.
Yup, something like 88% pass completion compared to c. 66% vs Stoke. Players like KDB and Silva will at times be in the low 80's because they have tried difficult passes in a packed final third but sixtysomething (%) is just unacceptable for a midfield player in a Guardiola side; especially when it is due to bread and butter passes going astray.

It was actually KDB's tackling that impressed me most: he made two really good ones in the first half.

As you say he is being encouraged to make game changing passes, so completion rate is insignificant. Such a demanding role now, he is adapting superbly. Still has one of the highest assist rates in the premier league.

I thought Pep may have kept KDB on the pitch at the weekend as he appeared to be playing himself back into form. We could really do with him playing well tonight. If he loses the ball in dangerous areas as much as he has done of late, we could be in big trouble.

KDB was awful but what was Pep doing? How did the HT team talk go? "Hey Kev, you're playing shit but I'm not taking you off, instead drop deep and play like Yaya and I will leave the actual Yaya on the bench". Crazy.

I don't know if it's his personal life or if it's just him struggling with Pep's system but whatever it is he has been shocking for weeks. He needs the Aguero treatment. Dropped to the bench until he decides to get his head out his arse.

I'm inclined to think that yaya was carrying... there's no justification for keeping Kev on, he's been like this for over a month!

Rubbish his second half performance was fine - range of passing is his strength only poor part was the two free kicks he wasted. I think by that time he was trying too hard. We lost that game because we missed two sitters and can't defend a decent cross. KDB is the least of our problems. Fullbacks are terrible - how good would we be if we had their two.

I am on of KDBs biggest fans however that 1st half from him was completely unacceptable and although he improved in the 2nd half he shouldn't have been given the chance. He cannot play that deep lying CM as well as Yaya, he just can't. Now if we find out that Yaya was injured then fair enough but otherwise it was a strange decision.

For a while now he's been playing like Nasri 2.0

Complete shit house in the first half and that free kick at the end just summed up his season as of late.

Needs to be dropped for a few games. Worked for Aguero.
