Kevin Keegan

Remember his 3-5-2 against Invincibles, fantastic stuff. Was it 0-4 within the first 15 or sthg like that?

Had the pleasure to meet him. Albeit not more than a minute. Friend who is a Charlton fan arranged it. He was an admirer of Keegan as well.
We than beat Charlton 3-0. Opening game 2003/2004. Sunny day. Great memory. Like many on here Keegans’ team and style of okay was pure pleasure.

Better than a couple seasons earlier when they hammered us 4 0 opening day.

Thinking about it, weren't we hammered 4 0 by Leeds opening day of Keegan first season back

Remember when we twatted Ipswich town in the fa cup on a Sunday evening live on BBC 1 when they were a division above us.
Haven't forgotten that banner, you are the weakest link, goodbye held up by that little brat at Portman Road. How the mighty have fallen, I bet the little **** is a Dipper fan now

Great season with 100 goals if I remember correctly. aAs ha been said Bernabia Berkovich Goat all great. I though Huckerby had a good season too but if people are having a go at Raz they would probs have not rated him! Had a season in the North Stand and whilst the atmosphere was great the facilities??? Bogs and bar with the leak not too great but hey 1st world problems

Loved KK’s heart on your sleeve attitude and loved what he brought to the club (Blobby Fowler and McMinimum aside).
Happy Birthday KK.
Was an enthusiast and 2001/2 season was great. Steady in 2002/3 with some memorable games. Signing Fowler ultimately led to Bernstein leaving as chairman and started the decline. Move to new stadium could have pushed us on but he seemed to run out of ideas, signings in summer 2003 had all had their best days elsewhere and we stagnated. Some great days under KK who seemed to have time for the fans.

3-0, don't exaggerate! ;-)
Loved KK but tactical nous wasn't his strong point, we played a weird 3-6-1 formation that day. And Carlo Nash played like Pickford.

Some great memories from that era though - the derby wins, a few European trips, a win at Anfield, that promotion season and being at WHL for that comeback.
