Most here are as BAD as the press- Kevin has stated he only sported HIS views but this has been twisted- bloody hell- if he said "I'm really pleased with Robinho and the team in general, and that we are on course for a great season" mmmmm Really interesting for the guttersnipes-Not.
However, when further questioned his answers have been blurred, editd and probably slightly misquoted.
I don't know what Heidi said, maybe I should email her TOO !

On reflection, yes. Apologies. Shouldn't have bitten, particularly given the state I was in last night (as the anonymous user name may suggest).

Apologies to Kevin to, whatever my opinion, name calling is certainly not the way to conduct any form of reasoned debate.

A slightly more considered (and sober) opinon is I felt he was far too close to Mackintosh and Tyrell, but then again he would need to be given his role.

More importantly, my opinion of Kevin really does not matter in the slightest in the grand scheme of things. And on that note, I will now stfu.

fair play to Mr. Parker for coming on here and coming over very decently tbh. But Kev you defo weren't talking for me and my 7 yr old lad. Strongbowolic was spot on, Robby gave us joy like no other, he was and IS worth the entrance price alone.

I respect you indicate you don't speak for all Blues but unfortunetly you've just fed the rag infested swarm and gave them exactly what they've been waiting for... relentlessly trying to break our world class edge at all costs

But this is completely untrue... I for one do not want to see the back of the only world class player we had for 40 years! I want him to stay, knuckle down and prove me right! Unfortunately, I think the die is cast.

Kevin's the General Secretary of the Official Supporters Club, and his name and contact details are on the OSC site.

If you're a reporter and wanted a 'fans view' on an issue, logic would send them to the Official Supporters Club website to see if they have a spokesman. They would get Kevins number off there. Journalists, as we all know, are lazy. They won't bother ringing around more than one City fan to get an opinion, or try to judge the majority view. They would simply ask one person a view, and pass it off as the 'fans view'.

I don't think Kevin is saying he speaks for the fans at large, but is merely offering an opinion on issues when asked.

The media won't think twice about twisting your words to get a better angle out of their story. It's happened to me numerous times over here, but thankfully the Bluemoon woman Brigade don't bother reading the Middle Eastern press.

Saying something like this:

"In my personal opinion, I think City fans in general are happy to see the back of Robinho."

Quickly turns into this:
"City fans are happy to see the back of Robinho."

So none of us should be so quick to cast judgment on a fellow Blue when in all likelihood what's printed isn't a true reflection of what was actually said.

It would, yes. But unfortunately, the press will just keep ringing round until they finally find someone willing to talk.

Personally, I can't believe there are still people wanting to suck up to Robinho. The man's come out publicly and said that he doesn't want to stay with us. In that case, he can fuck off as far as I'm concerned. But that's a discussion for another thread.
