Kiev home ticket sales

For "pathetic" read "honest".

How many of the plastic day trippers who turn out on CL nights go, for example, to league cup ties v lower league opponents in the deep gloom of autumn or FA Cup replays or meaningless league games towards the end of a season ? Not many I'd wager but that in itself doesn't make them "pathetic". Only a halfwit could equate being a "great fan" with going to games "at all times" . Does it really all come down to who was at York ffs.

Different people go to different matches for different reasons. I believe that my reasons for not going to the Kiev game are perfectly reasonable and don't automatically qualify me for your "pathetic" category. I didn't even mention no beer being served or being turfed out of my usual seat to make way for some iphone toting neutral who just wants a pic of himself grinning inanely while Sergio takes a pen in the background or being turfed out of my seat because UEFA decree that the mandatory massive fuck off advertising boards means you can't sit on the few front rows.
I'm with you fella, first game 1970, season ticket holder most years since, would walk through fire for City and have done at many aways, did the first couple of years CL including 2/3 aways, what a fucking let down the home games were.

There's '000's of regulars who don't go to CL games probably loads that think as we do. Give me Rotherham in the Carling cup 3rd round for atmos over these experience shams.

If we still did pre-season friendlies I'd still even travel to them in the UK. I even do some youth games when I can but CL games, the experience and the cost ....no thanks.

I'll be watching on the telly and as the song goes I'll be a **** for the night and to add to this if we get to the final I'll also be a **** sat at home with a mixture of happiness and sorrow.

Incredible post for all the wrong reasons, incredible that you will have sorrow in you for you own team to get to a champions league final. It's the type of thing that a Manchester United or Liverpool fan would say.
As I say incredible don't have many words to say. Aye Rotherham over Barcelona ok then !

How pathetic are you!!!!

Thank God we have a lot of great fans who support their team at all times...I think it's absolutely great that we have a chance to reach the quarter finals...come on City.

Careful - he' believes only plastics attend CL games and the only real fans were at York away!!

To use your favourite expression - FO calling fans "plastics" it's insulting & you have no right to judge. Just shut up & watch the game at home. Or don't even watch it if you don't like CL

Still nothing on the site to but tickets in SS Level 3.....ffs City if you are reading this can someone open it up,I want to buy but its 3 young lads(1 is his first game) so they need to be in the same stand as me!

Just booked my ticket on the club chartered return train from London to Manchester

No excuse now for southern based fans to miss this game. Train returns to London after the match and will be delayed in the unlikely event of extra time/penalties.

City will be running these trains back to London for future midweek matches if this trial proves popular. Fantastic value at only £50 plus VAT return. Phone hospitality if interested.

Be good to hear how full it is,fantastic idea

Anyway, there will be 50,000 at the Etihad on Tuesday.

Blues who don't want to go will be at home / in the pub. Fair enough! I just don't get why a small minority of this contingent have to come on here with outbursts of petty name calling and claiming to be super fans.

Barring a disaster, we will reach the last 8 of the Champs League / European Cup for the first time and be the last English team left in the competition! This is an opportunity for celebrating success!

£50 plus VAT is £60. London branch can offer return fares for around £30. Besides, the earliest the train gets back in to Euston is gone midnight and the tubes have finished by then. Nightbusagogo? £60 return fare is too high. Far too high.

Why are some fans who do not attend CL games using it as some kind of badge of honour. Really warped logic, the teams we are playing have the best players in the world. They are at the heights we as a club aspire to.

If some fans don't buy into this, then maybe they need to spend more time in the pub, or maybe nip down to Stretford no CL there.

At least stop putting these negative self indulgent rants on here.

We are a top 4 , CL club. Stop embarrassing yourselves.

Agree that £30 is a decent price for a last 16 tie in cl. But say we qualify which I hope we do but not counting chickens just yet how much are the tkts going to be for the quater finals ?? When you consider how much the barca tkts were last time for a last 16 tie I think they will be nearer 75 than 30. This will then attract the tourist types when the ground needs filling with City fans .
