would love to go to kiev. But saying that i'd love to go to them all. The european trips ive been on have been brilliant.

My mate watched it and said that Besiktas were awful at defending corners and crosses, also said that Kiev were sloppy in possession and constantly gave the ball away worse then we did on Tuesday apparently.
To be fair I think on a bad day we're stil better then most teams in this comp, just as long as the team don't think that it'll keep us safe from any upsets.

1709 miles if driving. estimated time 31hrs, 40 gallons should get you there so the round trip would cost £480 at 45mpg

Regarding to this "via Poland" idea of travelling to Kiev...
you can also board a direct all-sleeper train from Warsaw to Kiev. It departs on 3.55pm from Warsaw Central and arrives at 9:13am next day :)
It may be little bit costly, time consuming but TBH that kind of trip is a once-in-a -lifetime experience :)

I'd suggest a cheap flight to Berlin/Warsaw and take it from there.

"Late at night, the train is shunted into the gauge-changing shed at Yagodin (the Ukrainian frontier point) and jacked up to have its wheels changed from standard European (4' 8½") gauge to Russian 5' gauge. You remain on board while this is done".
