I was in 120 and the South Stand really saw their arses when the Colin Bell stand started chanting Kolarov's name in response to the booing.

I was embarrassed by it and only the humour and quick witted chants from those in the 'Bell end' defused a tense situation.

No way!!! Pollock, Brannon, kernaghan, Daley, Weah, Creaney...to name a few who couldnt lace Kolarovs boots when comparing city careers. Lets face it theres a long list of poor city players! Not a Kolarov lover, but scored some great goals.....NEVER BOO ANYONE IN A BLUE SHIRT!!

Some 'fans' have become spoilt.

To some in the south stand especially and across the stadium, if we're not 3 or 4 up by halftime then we're shit and if players aren't Barcelona quality they are shit.

Kolarov was signed as part of the (allegedly) dynamic duo, along with Boetang, by Mancini to provide the obvious lack of width identified early in his tenure. Unfortunately for us, Kolarov provides as much width as your average eunuch.

Only my opinion, but I can't see how booing anyone would better an individual's performance. It's not something i've ever done.

Having said that, it's the fans right to boo if they want to. He wasn't the first, think Clough, Heath, Symons, Bond, Harper, Edghill, etc and he won't be the last.

If a player is booed, it's not really the brightest thing for him to turn round and abuse the crowd. If a player does that however, then the booing fans can't complain.

The old much lamented kippax had it's fare share of vulture fans, who loved nothing better than slagging our own, from Billy Macadams who just got on with it, to Ian Bowyer who was virtually hounded off the pitch. Clough signed him and he won two European cups.
It's always there bubbling but winning tends to mask it. There is no cure.

As far as I can make out from reading this, kolorov was not being booed for being shit, he was booed for reacting to fans giving him stick. It's not quite the same as if it was he would have been booed at every game because he is shit in every game he plays...
