Kolo Toure [Merged]

If we finish 6th, it'll be our highest finish ever since the formation of the Premier League! So nobody can moan at that!
In the founding year of the EPL 1992-93 we finished 9th. An interesting point as well, the last year of the old Football League 1991-92 we finished 5th (the year Leeds won anyone remember??). I believe this is our highest finish since the amazing 60s/70s!

People need to get some perspective, it's almost 20 years since we finished anywhere NEAR 6th, and almost bloody 40 years since we finished top 4!!

Calm down, top 6 would be amazing anything else would be worthy of an infinite amount of power-wanking ;)

this was the guardian rumour mill's take on the Toure deal. Classic snipe at the Daily Mail!

One story that certainly isn't out of place in a column dealing largely in unfounded speculation is the Daily Mail "exclusive" stating that Manchester City have had a £15m bid for Kolo Touré accepted by Arsenal and subsequently agreed personal terms of £120,000 per week with the 28-year-old. That's £180,000 per week less than they were planning on paying John Terry, so we're a bit surprised the Mail missed a trick by choosing not to go off on one of their trademark rants complaining about immigrant workers coming over here, stealing our jobs and undercutting our workers.

Well funny!
