Kolo Toure [Merged]

Re: toure agrees city move (merged)

I may have missed something but what is a BMI that Stu is referring too?

Re: toure agrees city move (merged)

Sorry mate, I posted on page 6 what all that is it means Background Medical Information. We usualy recieve this before the club agrees a fee for the player and so a medical follows, but its also where most deals tend to make it or break it.

Re: toure agrees city move (merged)

he will still need to get a new work permitt aswell as the medical and such

Body mass index, a quick way of establishing somebody's level of fitness. Not sure why this would take until lunchtime to be honest, maybe it's more complex for footballers than down the local gym.

HAHA yes your correct there mate but I was referring to Background Medical Info which also includes the analysis of a players Body Mass Index

Re: toure agrees city move (merged)

You're wrong Marvin. I speak American fluently. Can't do the daft accent though.

Anyway, wtf is this about foreigners and English? Adebayor speaks English better than most Oldham yonners, and has a beautiful accent, just like Shaw folk do.

The question of welcoming him: I'd love to. All I can do is what some of us have been doing, which is be on-line waiting for the latest and as-it-happens. It's like the banner for the Sheikh...all some of us can do is stump-up the cash and leave it for you lot to be there :-(...yet strangely :-).

Get in Kolo.

(last weekend I was in New Bern N.C. for a wedding, and actually went to the drugstore where Pepsi Cola was invented...Cola...Kolo...it was a sign!)

edit: it would be nice if some of the players were on-hand to welcome him outside COMS don't you think? And Garry...everyone deserves a hug.

If he gets back to his best then fine but at the moment I'm not thrilled to be perfectly honest.

He was getting back to his best at the end of the season. Toure is a quailty defender and on his day is as good as any in the league and maybe in europe.

Me neither! he couldnt get in Arsenals team for about a year only 12-18 months ago! Senderos was getting in ahead of him! I have also thought that it was Arsenals defence being much poorer than the quality of the other Sky 4 and is inbalanced compared to Arsenals quality around the rest of the pitch, for the reason why they have been trophyless for how ever many years, is it 5!?

I will be underwhelmed if he signs for us! unless he is seriously gaining his 2003-7 form back!!

Couldn't get into the team? Since he's been at Arsenal he's played 40+ games in every season and the only season he's not managed to play 30 premier leauge games was last season where he played 29 times

Re: toure agrees city move (merged)

Toure would be a fantastic signing, expecially if it was along with Lescott.

Toure is very fast. Has always played a large number of games every season so isn't getting hit with injuries season after season.

I've ever heard some Arsenal fans saying if Wenger sells Toure to City then he should be sacked.

Which is always good to hear, he is a huge fans favourite. Also, it would weaken Arsenal further.

I was reading one of their messege boards earlier (Arsenal Mania) and most of them think it would be wrong to get rid of him

Re: toure agrees city move (merged)

some folk need to get real.

top 4 would be a dream.

is toure better that TBH and Dunne - YES!!!!!

this is always the way it works. we sign some top players, all of a sudden we are expecting top 4. does this now mean that if we finish fith we have had a bad season. i for one hope not when last year we did well to finish in the top half.

lets not set ourselves up for a fall.

i would welcome toure with open arms.

sorry to be so frank but this has annoyed me for a long time. always setting the bar to high. i for one don't like the dissapointment.
