I'll give you Vidic, Luiz and Pique, Vermaelen and at a push Lucio. But Terry and Ferdinand are not better than Kompany for me.

Again it depends how you measure - as a Captain and what Terry does for Chelski and Camel gob has done for the rags over the years gives them the edge

Kompany is quality but for me not top 10 maybe in a year or so and playing in the Chumos League because that is the acid test simple as

Serial Philanderer and CamelGob have had the best part of TEN seasons playing with some of the best players in the world. Vinny has been at CoMS two or three seasons- and he is as good as they are at the present. He clearly wants to stay with MCFC, is a highly intelligent young man, and I can only drool over how good he's going to be in two or three more seasons. Hart, VINNY, de Jong, Silva and ? (Mario, Carlos, Edin?)! What a backbone? Gimme another five seasons of those in our team, please!

Was thinking the same thing... and Luiz too, got kippered yesterday (by John boy bloody Walters of all people) on the halfway line for their goal and has played a handful of games, a lot to prove yet.

People are just plucking names from 'big' teams and saying they're the best in the world.

Kompany is right up there; he'd walk into almost any team in the world right now.

As much as it pains me to say it Vidic is the best in this country at the moment.

Kompany was magnificent yesterday an was my man of the match by a mile.

A Kompany/Vidic pairing would be nice to see please ;-)

That said, Lescott isn't too shabby at the moment either.
