I think he is outstanding but its his non footballing attributes that he brings to the team that i value - his pride in the club - his desire for the club to do well - his approach to the game and the way he conducts himself on and off the pitch

If you are going to restrict it striuctly to footballing skills Joelan has been fookin awesome this season and is a many many games has been the stand out centre half

MMMMM, maybe not the best in terms of leadership and overall ability , but certaintly the most improved , Lescott has established himself as a No 1 choice ( to accompany Vinnie )

As dctid says, Vinny's great not just for his footballing skills, which we all recognise by now. He's a leader on and off the pitch, carries himself correctly and I think sets a great tone for the players - and recognises what the club means to us as fans. A real captain.
