Not convinced he isn’t nursing an injury. Doesn’t seem to be at the races as much as he has in the past. Or, maybe the games are getting to him, because of the workload Pep requires of his FBs.

Has been made to look ordinary quite often this season, and not seeing any final product from him down the line. In this City team, that makes him look quite meh.

I've never seen a player more reliant on the one foot, and at times it causes him/us problems.

Still,there aren't many better,and he's been a fantastic purchase for us.

Yet again he looked really, really poor.

I think a RB should be scouted for the long term, because he looks to be on the decline this season compared to previously.

Two world class full backs and a Fernandinho cover/replacement is all that this team is missing right now then once that’s done this team really will be unstoppable for the next 4/5 years imo.

Walker & Mendy have their plus points for sure, but both are technically very poor and error prone compared to the rest of the team.

De Jong is a dead cert I think. Got a feeling we might go in for Alex Sandro too.

+1
He's usually sound on defense or can use pace to compensate; going through a rough patch at the moment.

Not great going forward, but lends defensive balance. I prefer Walker to Danilo at RB.

Walker has played 85 games since joining us. 65 for us, 20 for England. He starts almost every single one, and he plays one of the most physically demanding positions on the pitch.

He had no break post world cup and came back early.

It would be bizarre if he wasn't suffering from a dip, he needs to be rested.

I agree.

He is probably the worst technical player at City, so has to concentrate like fuck in order to play at this level, so will be mentally as well as physically fatigued.

That's sensible. We are definitely going to the well too much with him and Fernandinho.

Danilo should be rotating in for Walker.

My biggest concern with Walker is what's letting him down right now are the fundamentals-first touch and short passes. He just looks very sloppy and nervous.

Kyle is definitely carrying an injury (could barely walk yesterday) - I hope he gets time to rest for a couple of matches with Danilo now back to full fitness.

I dont think the problem is fatigue. He just isn't nearly good enough technically. It's like playing with 10 players when we're in possession. If we dont think Danilo is good enough (and I actually think he should be starting), then we should be getting competition for RB in the summer.

Walker played some nice diagonals to Sane but he almost never over laps. He needs to do it more. Tonight he made the run maybe once? Has the pace to get back, much more so than Mendy although obviously not as good a crosser.

To put it mildly — some of his recent attempts are currently being tracked by NASA as potential threats to the ISS.

I personally think it is just fatigue, as he was making the overlapping runs and tracking back for fun earlier in the season. I think Danilo does need to take the load off a bit, and is more than capable of keeping up our level (I rate him more than others, though).

Would like to see Danilo get a run out. Walker seem to be a tad tired of late. Good free kick mind, but feel he should sit out the next couple to keep him fresh.
