Best right back in England.

Top five right back in the world.

Our right backs last season were terrible.

He's got four or five years at the top level left.

Who cares if it costs £50 million, we can afford it, I'm absolutely delighted about signing Walker.

this made me laugh: Previous Englishmen have struggled at the Etihad, including the likes of Jack Rodwell, Scott Sinclair and Fabian Delph ....

Two of them Were sick notes and Sinclair was simply a mistake.
But there were others Mcmanaman struggled as well. ;-)

I don't think he's world class. I remember this Spurs fan coming on here before our home game telling us how great walker and Rose were and how Sane and Sterling wouldn't get a kick, and as I remember Sane and Sterling tore the two of them to pieces in a game which but for a ref we should have won comfortably.

But still a massive improvement and a good player.

And Spurs sold him to a rival. I don't care what they say about the fee. It knocks them back, and pushes us forward, and 1-2 places in the league table can be hugely significant

Can anyone explain to my why, out of all the people out there, United fans talk the most shit about this transfer? Given that they paid near £90m to buy Pogba back, spent a £100m on Lukaku and until recently paid 300k a week to the Grannyshagger??
Not to mention the 30 million they paid for a fullback 3 years ago, before the recent massive inflation of fees due to the influx of TV money. That was at least equivalent to 50 million for Walker. Shaw was a lot younger, but also less proven at the top level.

Cos deep down they know that Walker is a good player and at 50 million will be well worth the money..

As for Pogba, Lukaku ... theyre only worth 50 million each going by their current prem form. so the scum have over spent by 100 million.

He's decent, okish but one of the best right backs in the world?

He is likely the best RB in the league. In the world there's not that many above him right now. Carvajal, Alves, and then maybe Danilo, Juanfran. Can't think of any other except for those who are past their prime like Zabaleta stepping down, Lahm retiring. I think Bellerin is hard to mark but is less of a footballer than Walker for this league.

Don't know if a player will make that difference but significant is understating it two places up and Pep and our transfers are totally vindicated, two places down and this place will be in uproar and Pep will be dead meat at City.

Catalan outlets confirming that Nelson Semedo has been signed by Barcelona: €35m + €5m in add-ons.

He is 20million Cheaper than Walker.

Always hit and miss with Portuguese players though.

Mangala looked a potential beast in Portugal but never got it together at City. Same with Fernando.

With Walker we are getting tried and tested.

Why are people raving about Danilo? He's been shite since his move.

Semedo clearly wanted Barca.

I think we should sort Walker out and then sign Pereira.

But what will I do if some rags take the piss, or even worse we get away fans singing songs about our spending and empty seats!?

I wouldn't say we been "ripped off"......more like fucked up on our part.
MCRjohn posted in May it "WAS DONE"......id say it was agreed for about £45m.
Fuck up being......letting Sagna and Zabba go before Walkers signature.....Levy then ups the price, being the **** he is......just opinion that.

Half pissed......you wumming **** ;)

League Cup 2008. Remind me what else significant occurred in 2008. Were I a cynic I would suggest you were "washing your hair" all the way up to 2009 when you joined this forum. Luckily I'm not a cynic. As a Spurs fan you always look on the bright side of life because the dark days are never far away. Much like the City old timers on here seem to say all the time "we're City we can never do things the easy way". Go through the muck, you learn to appreciate good fortunes and not piss on those less fortunate.

As always good luck to you blues. Can't imagine us winning it this year considering Wembley and all. So if we can't I will be pulling for you guys instead of any red mob or the loathesome chelsea. Please play some beautiful stuff...unless it against us.

Unlike some plonkers on here, I dont hate Spurs. We`ve had some epic battles on the pitch in the past, from the ballet on ice to the Ricky final and replay and more. Cant stand The Scum, Arsenal or Liverpool fans.

It does irk me somewhat when know nowts like some on the gg forum go on about money like they would swap owners with us today.

I'm sick of the media narrative that we are ruining the market by paying what Levy wants, around 18 months ago I bought a home at a time where in the US the housing market was on the up and it was a sellers market and I paid about 50k more than I would have in say 2013, if I wanted the house that's what it was I can't go to the homeowner and make him take less, if we want a English top notch RB the price is the price and I don't think we are wrong paying for it...
