Kyle Walker

I'll go against the grain as unpopular as it may be. I think it's the right time to move on from Kyle.

As we saw in the CL final, I think Pep wants is ready for a more modern fullback as well. I've admittedly probably got more faith than I should in Rico Lewis but I say throw him into the fire and if he's not yet up to it then we can stick Akanji out there.
Is that what a CB playing as a fullback is now called? There's nothing modern about that as the likes of Zanetti, Puyol, Abidal, Nesta and Walter Samuel have been used to play as fullbacks despite being natural CB or DMF.

If you're looking for a modern fullback, you can't get any better than Kyle unless you have access to some kind of device that could be used to clone prime Maicon, Dani alves, Carlos or Marcelo.

Still think he’s waiting for the clubs to agree a fee and he’s wanting a new challenge
The fee that those tight fuckers have offered is 13 million and yet they value Pavard at 30 million. If they rate Pavard at 17 million more keep him then and we'll keep Kyle, everyone's happy. I've said it before , I wouldn't give them German rags a dose.

it might just be though that Walker wants this new challenge and has asked the club to allow him to do it?

He wants to leave. Multiple sources reported it. It's down to the clubs to agree on a fee. That's the hold-up/obstacle that might keep him here for a year or two.

I understand that city want to be good and understanding to their players but sometimes we have to stop being so charitable, if you want a player so bad then pitch up the money for them, stop going on with your press mouth pieces about how they are your top target etc and just stump up the cash and you can have them.

We have to stop paying the prices the other clubs want for their players and then letting them have our players for peanuts

Multiple sources would follow each other off a cliff in their pursuit a negative angle when it comes to City….

Just as well that we don't do that then isn't it...

Whatever the outcome with Walker,
I hope City don't take any Bayern players in return to finance Kane's transfer (I know they have cash in the bank but they can't go all out IMO).
Bayern are missing a striker and would be a serious CL competitor if Kane was there. Hope Kane stays at spurs, no harm for anybody there.

Kimmich……

Kimmich……
Not realistic, but yeah even Kimmich.
Bayern wouldn't sell their missing link in the mid to fill their missing link up front.

Btw I already posted I see Kimmich as a negative factor and the opposite of personalities and attitudes City are scouting and signing - which makes the difference to other top clubs.

I love City for understanding the added value of top personalities like Rodri, Dias, Aké, Akanji, Bernardo, Gundogan, Ortega, Haaland, to name some.

I wouldn't be averse to taking Leroy back.

Thats a fair point if we are going to play him. If he is sat on the bench he costs us £13m plus £8m in wages.
Plus whatever loyalty bonus he will be owed for seeing out his contract and any win and trophy bonuses he may earn.
You could see the full package for his last contracted year could be in the region of £25m for lost transfer income (presuming modest fee paid in one hit) and remuneration.
Personally I would try to keep Kyle but in order to do so it appears it’s going to cost the sum of an improved two year deal.
Not an easy puzzle for the club.
