I agree. We were poor but 3 dives never reviewed. Madison one was a joke. Mendy was terrible but he never touched him for the penalty.

We played like I’ve felt about the team since Arsenal FAC and Lyon CL games.

We have declined alarmingly since 2018-19 (and it wasn’t even that long ago!). I’ve been really disappointed with the club over the last few months with the way we went out of those^ games and with our transfer business.

I think we’re in for a long old season. Not only because we can’t go, not only because it’s likely to be disrupted by Covid again at some point, not only because VAR has ruined the sport...but also because City aren’t half as good as we like to think they are!

Wasn't even arsed today which is the sad thing, football is broken and our club is so passive it's get beyond the point of defending it anymore.

Most disappointed since Bury at home. City these days are usually a nice distraction from day to day life, Covid etc but this was just wrong including the fact that the players are already dropping like flies and Pep / we cant commit beyond 12 months. Being owned by Abu Dhabi £millions is fine but the control of the Barca boys + Messi sideshow have xxxxxd me off a little of late.

The momentum started by Bobby in hindsight was maintained through management refreshes, its clear if you want a dynasty like rags and Arsenal you need a good scouting recruitment strategy. We ain’t got that the last time we bought well to prepare for the future was when we got Jesus, since then we have just relentlessly blown the budget on a load of midfielders totally ignoring the back four and the biggest cock up never bringing in top strikers. GPC constantly had a conveyor belt of top CHs and CFs running for 20 years. I no longer get consolation for their demise, especially as the signs are we arguably facing a bigger problem

Well, quite frankly, after watching that utter garbage at the Etihad today the 'lack of enthusiasm' thread seems the ONLY place to be!

I think it's hard to put a finger on any one particular issue at the moment and we'd rather this be happening now with time left in the window and only being two games into the season than at any other time. Pep needs to come out and commit now as the uncertainty will be spreading like wildfire in the dressing room. When he does he will have a war chest to rebuild. He also needs to adapt as the game has changed and I'm more than happy to give a 100% comitted Pep time to do so.
