Laurence Fox launches political party

Sorry, what do you want them to do? Pull down the statues to islamic terrorists we have in the country? Protest the govenments support of terrorists?
My point isn’t so much of what I want them to do specifically about the terror attacks, although some more outrage wouldn’t have gone a miss as it’s now forgotten about, my point is to not protest in the middle of a pandemic over something happening in another country, to show consistency and to act with reason.

Something the radical left are incapable of doing in their endless anti western antagonism.

I think he just upset a lot of people who've seen and endured racism in this country when he told a black woman on public TV that bringing up racism was "boring" and then, when the woman said he might not be best placed to recognise racism, given his background, told her that she was the racist.

Or when he got all red in the face and screamed about how outrageous and disgustingly politically correct it was to have a Sikh actor in 1917, because the version of history he got taught didn't allow for non white people in the British army during WW1 (despite the fact Sikh soldiers did serve shoulder to shoulder with white soldiers).

Or when he demanded everyone boycott Sainsbury's for celebrating black history month.

It's also amazing how despite the fact Fox actually apologised and explained he's too uneducated, stupid and unable to express what he means, he's now decided that it should be his full time job. I'm sure that has nothing to do with the £50m funding someone shoved at him to start a political party.

It's fine to disagree with him on those issues (although I think you've twisted/embellished a lot of what he's said) without getting so angry.

The amount of hate directed at him for having a different opinion to people is crazy.

I could understand if he was actually saying racist things but as far as I'm aware, he hasn't.

At that point some people thought, "that's odd, that bloke who refused to consider racism might exist is bringing up race again".

Apart from his brief appearance on question time I know nothing about the guy to be honest and don’t have much interest however your first paragraph is a tad misleading.
From my recollection the woman who he had the problem with came across very aggressive and seemed to be as big of a dickhead as he was. Neither came out of that spat very well.

The way you’ve described the conversation Fox had with that woman on QT is hilarious. You’ve made it out as if she was very polite and didn’t just go to the “you’re a white privileged male” shite to tell him he should shut up, for daring to say the media coverage of Meghan Markle wasn’t racist and she genuinely was just acting a nob. Playing the race card is incredibly boring and it was being used on that show, when Fox was on it.

The Sikh soldier thing highlights his stupidity, he maybe public school educated but he didn’t learn about history or politics there. However he did apologise when he was told about it.

The last bit I totally agree on and I’ll add that whoever has paid this buffoon £50m, must have inherited it, they surely cannot be bright enough to have earned it.

The funny thing is - as @banjani I think has already mentioned, if people would have just calmly disagreed with Fox and respected his right to his opinion, he'd probably still be on Lewis now and he'd be a complete non-entity. But because of all the rage and bile towards him for having, in the main, fairly moderate and respectable views (albeit which other reasonable people might disagree with) plus all the attempts to cancel him, he's now the leader of a political party and he'll be on all the new GB News and NewsUK news channels, which themselves were borne out of the same backlash against censorship.

I’ve no desire personally to “cancel him”, I just enjoy ridiculing him as he’s a fairly tragi-comic character. Surely we can all at least agree on that?

I think we can all agree he should be nowhere near the leader of a political party but then you can say that about most of them I think.
