League or Champions League?

Which would you rather win?

I’d like to win CL and then gladly never play(unlikely)/watch(easily) it ever again.
Crap competition. Just an extravagant old boys club.
It needs reforming so badly but everyone is clinging on to past “glories”

I don't think I am and Pep alluded to it post match last night.
I just think the team makes too many errors in European games, FERNANDINHO and Otamendi last night.
I'd say Real, Barca and Juventus would be more street wise than us.
I think we're 3 to 4 seasons off winning the CL.

And if we were playing any of those teams, do you think we would lineup with 3 defenders in the team? Not a chance. We would revert back to our more standard formation with everyone in their best positions. Pep got too clever last night and his players bailed him out. Not to mention Juve lost 2-0, barca drew and real madrid got a tight win against ajax largely agajnst the rjn of llay as it was widely acknowledged ajax should have won, There wasn't much more that could have gone against us last night yet we still won the game when many a team wouldn't have. In 3 or 4 years without winning it, pep probably doesnt stick around and we would have lost that core of kompany fernandinho silva and aguero and its going to be very difficult to replace them. Our time is within the next two seasons.

Premier League - always.
We'll never win the Champions League as the referees and officials don't like us. Last night proved it with the first penalty.

Has to be the Champions League!

We have won the Premier League numerous times nd like to think of ourselves as the best team in...(fill in the blank). Well, to be considered that team, you have to win the biggest competitions in that location.

All you hear Pep talk about is “titles,” and it is self evident that Sheikh Mansour brought the Barca execs and Pep here to win “the big one.” Newsflash...the Prem isn’t that!

Sure, we’ll take the Carabao “title,” the FA Cup “title” and another Premier League “title,” but THE ENTIRE STRUCTURE OF THE CLUB is about winning THE BIG ONE...and that is the Champions League and joining Europe’s current elite.

We have the players, we have the manager, we have the opportunity. Up until now, we have flattered to deceive...that’s what Pep was saying about last night and that “we are not ready yet.” However, he knows that on our best day, we ARE the best team in the world, but no one cares, because you have to prove these things with “titles.”

History doesn’t care about how well you played, or how much bad luck you had in such and such a game, or how you got screwed by the ref in that game. No, history cares about what you did, what you overcame to win, and what you won by force of your will, force of your ability, and force of your personality as a team. That means winning the Champions League...and then not sitting on our laurels and being there again, and again, and again!

I want to win every competition we enter and its clear the club wants the champions league so by default i do too but from a purely personal point of view I couldn't care less about it, it represents everything wrong with modern football, It's all about money and the brand. Why is a 4th place side allowed entry into the "champions" league? It should be a shorter competition where only the actual champions are permitted to enter, would also solve the issue of the Europa league having less than no worth if big English/spanish/German sides are in that instead. Why are teams seeded to avoid big games early and big money making teams potentially going out in the early stages? It should be completely unseeded where any team can play another from the start. I'd be delighted if we won it this year then refused our invatation to defend it next year and went and played some high profile friendlies to cover the lost income it brings instead. Fuck uefa.

I'm glad the CL is as it is with as many top teams in it. Champions in Pot 1 and has made even the group stages interesting. The money and the brand is due to its success, so I guess you are in the minority if you think all the above are wrong.

Has to be the league for me. The scousers are so desperate to win it and to deprive them would give me immense joy.

This season I can't choose.

Normally I'd go for the CL as we have never won it and it's important for our development but I don't want Liverpool to win anything.

Once we win the CL then the PL will be more important again.

I'm not sure we will be allowed to win the CL though.....it's beyond obvious what's going on now.

League and FA cup for a double or just the league considering we already have a cup in the bag. I have just convinced myself, if we win the league then I will be a happy blue and consider it to be a successful season.
