League or Champions League?

Which would you rather win?

League and FA cup for a double or just the league considering we already have a cup in the bag. I have just convinced myself, if we win the league then I will be a happy blue and consider it to be a successful season.

The CL or the PL would be fantastic and a great season. If we won neither but won the other two I'm not sure..depends how far we went in the CL.

A perennial discussion, that comes round again and again. For myself and – I suspect – many of my generation, it's the PL, every single time. I don't even have to think about it. However, the general razzamatazz of the CL has definitely taken its hold in the imaginations of many of the under-thirties, even — dare I say it? — the under-forties. It's a phenomenon I've often noticed in talking with younger football fans. Personally, I can't stand that bloody anthem. But people seem to like it.
Another thing. I personally don't give a toss whether we're a ‘global club’ or not. But our owners definitely do. And I don't pay the wage bills. So, I'm pretty sure, does Pep. That's how it is. Big clubs are part of global corporate capitalism nowadays. And winning the CL is unquestionably part of that process.
Hey, why choose? Let's have both, while we're about it.

I'm under 50 and enjoy the CL and I know many older than me that enjoy it , I think you are just generalizing , don't forget it wasn't long ago many of us hated the prem cos we weren't innit to win it ,

I didn't say anywhere in my post that I didn't enjoy the CL. I do enjoy it, and I particularly used to enjoy it in its original form. Whether we were in it or not (and we weren't, except for one year).
I loved it when we beat Barca, and if we win it this year I'll be cheering my head off. What I don't much like is the show biz that surrounds it. I stand by that. As for generalising, we all do that based on our experience of what we go through and who we talk to.

PL ahead of the Dippers once more for me, just like a few years ago, a CL final would be nice, but personally, I can't wait to see
and hear the Dippers howling wailing, and skriking again.
Just imagine it, Mr, Ed snarling and gurning at the cameras, the endless clips of Carragher hawking and phlegming
his ire at yet another presenter sycophantically handwringing in deep sympathy for the Dipper hordes, who yet again,
have to wait for next year to be their year. My joy will know no bounds watching the tears flow around the Kopout.
Then, the inevitable vids from the world's favourite scouser, something along these lines...

As the thread title says. What would be your choice? For me it would be conditional, Premier League if the other English clubs don’t make it to the Champions League Final, Champions League if otherwise.
