Lech Posnan tonight

Ticket Office Wankers

How did the Poles get tickets in the Family Stand ??
This was not a case of City fans giving them their season tickets.
There was 8 of them behind me.
They were not a problem, but that's not the point.
Once again we have seen that we employ knob heads in the Ticket Office.

Saw the police escorting all the Poznan fans from Piccadilly Gardens after wetherspoons got closed.

Stood watching them go by, and they just kept coming. Must have been marching past for a good 5-10 minutes.

was at the game last night with my 2 sons, the youngest aged 9, we were in the Family stand Level 2 having re located from east stand level 2 at the end of last season. Family stand LOL. City got their ticketing wrong no if's no buts. Had some right neandathols around us no trouble but intimidating especialy for my 9 year old. Dad why have City sold tickets here for the polish fans, Can't answer son but will try to get MR Cook to calrify the ticket policy.

CITY FOR LIFE said:
Travelled over from Thirsk, stopped at the motorway stop, full of Polish had a good chat about the clubs, grounds etc, got to the ground at 4:45 Polish Fans all over the place, sat outside Asda drinking, not one sign of trouble. Sat in SS L2 last night the next sit was the black netting and thought if this kicks off it will be 'fun' but I have to say that was the best away following by a mile I have seen at any City game, Sunderland 91 at Maine Road was the other but last night was brilliant, and like my lad said these are the nights why we want to be in Europa.
For any Pozan Fans reading this site today, well done for way you supported your team last night and as far as I am concerned you are welcome back to COM's anytime. Magic night.

I was at that Sunderland game when they were relegated I remember us singing You'll be back to them due to the tremendous atmosphere they brought to that game.
Although my mate said it to a couple of mackem bruisers in the Kippax car park afterwards and was given a slap around the head that took him off his feet. No harm done though as he was pissed and the other mackems picked him up gave their own mate a slap and we ended up on the piss with them as they had relations living down here who were blues.

Poznan fans were ace. Great crack last night, never laughed so much at a footy match.

The family stand situation was a bit ridiculous - like has been said, there was no sign of any real trouble but there was far more than a handful of Poles in blocks 138 and 139, with an unstewarded 'no man's land' of several empty rows between, and pockets of others all across the stand. Of course, the hope is that the stewards and security are more on top of it than it appears, but it did seem to be a case of 'relying on people not to cause trouble'. Personally I didn't have any concern at all, but I'm sure that tension would have developed had it gone to 2-2 or worse. Parents or not, there's still a fair few people in the FS who would stand up and be counted if it came to it, particularly at night games.

My point being, if the club has sold season tickets and continues to advertise a 'family area' ie one of complete safety, (while forcing out people who had sat there for years and remove what little 'atmosphere' there was at that end of the ground in the first place) then it should make doubly sure that's what it is.

For all those writing on page 16 of this topic, how do you feel now?? Have you seen these hordes of wild hooligans from "Eastern" Europe demolishing Manchester?? I didn't. What I have seen was fantastic supporters enjoying the game and supporting their team.

I am Pole, but I support City for 7 years. I was shocked last night when Asian doorman didn't let me in to Mary D pub because I am Polish. I'm going there for nice pint before every game. I spent there few hundred pounds overall. I showed him my Season Card and he couldn’t miss City cap on my head, but it was still not enough to let me in. Today I sent an email telling this story to M.E.N, because that was nothing else than racism.

I think that some of you guys should use their brains instead of believing in everything what M.E.N and BBC are giving you as fact.
Believe me, no one in Poland will announce that in few weeks time few thousand English hooligans coming to Poznan. They will be talking about football fans…

Well said man. Though I'd say it wasn't racism, at all. Just ordinary stupidity rather. :)
And, to be fair, a few tabloids in Poland would probably try to write something about "drunk, English, troglodytes comin' to Poznan". The difference bein, nobody who uses his brain wouldn't believe a word of it.

It did go off though in weatherspoons, we were in there when it happened.
Glasses were flying like fcuk at 17:30 in the afternoon.
The Police closed the pub and wouldn't let anyone out at first, and this old lady was about 90, frail and she was crying. Fair play they let her out though.
It was pretty mental tbh, one english lad (don't know if he was a Blue) got a right hiding by this Pole that looked like some sort of gladiator, he was fcuking huge!
