One of my five double albums for a desert island. The others are The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, English Settlement, Colosseum Live and Exile on Main Street. They are double albums that once I listen to the first track, well, I just have no choice, I have to listen to them right through. I have to set aside an evening and clear the decks in fact.
Nope: the White Album doesn't make my cut, neither does Blonde on Blonde.

Thinks… London Calling is a double album, isn't it? Hmmm…

Second half of PG is too uneven for me to think that, but doubles where it is all or nothing for me would, off the top of my head, include The Wall, The Lamb, and then of course the live doubles: Paris, Alchemy, Live After Death, Live Rust, Double Trouble, World Wide Live, Seconds Out.
 
I may have posted on this thread before but went to the second Knebworth on a coach from Piccadilly Records. Knackered all the time. Bogs beyond appalling and enjoyed the New Barbarians more. Fucking Chas and Dave were on and little did I realise how they would haunt me in 1981.

For sure....but the Oasis gig was the night Definitely Maybe went to number one....and the venue of a few hundred seemingly had thousands at it.....similarly, mention Stairway to Heaven and everyone's Dad/uncle/grandad was there

I went to the last nights gig at Earls Court in May '75 and both Knebworths in August 1979.

Saw them at the Free Trade Hall about 1969/ 1970
Can't remember much about it

Second half of PG is more varied but still packed with brilliance.
