Pretty great we have a points gap then isn't it?

Yes it is, but spunking away points is not going to end well. It’s been said already about the way it could go.
I’ll wait until it’s a mathematical certainty, then celebrate.
There’s too many spouting off that it’s a done deal.
We’ve seen that before haven’t we?

Say all you like about this player, that player, selection, we had simple chances to go 3 - 0 up. Nothing Pep can do when players can't strike the ball properly in front of goal.
He could try recruiting an out and out striker for games like this. His precious system has taken us to unimagined glory but we can't keep making it so easy for opposing defenders.
What we really need is for Pep to develop a ten man system and buy a player who knows where the goals are to work alongside it and bury the chances.

Pep was right to make many changes, for the next two games are more important. Think we played well in the first half up to their goal. Cancelo made a mistake, he has lost form since early March, was poor against Manure as well. Pep will wonder whether to play him or Zinch vs Dortmund. I'm afraid Dortmund are too quick for Zinch, so Pep will probably go with Cancelo at LB again.

Second half our game was a bit slow, we didn't move the ball quickly enough. Dinho was great in the first half, but in the second half he was slow on the ball and the build-up suffered from it. The forwards are low on confidence and it showed.

Pep could subbed in Kevin but was probably right not to risk him. With Gundo and Bernie not in their form from January and February, currently we are quite dependent on Kevin and an injury vs Leeds could jeopardize the 2nd leg vs Dortmund and the season.

But he should have probably subbed in Mahrez.

No matter tactics and personnel, there was always a small chance that Leeds, even with 10 men for 50 minutes, would take something from the game. Many posters seem to forget that a win/draw is never guaranteed at 100%. Shit can always happen.

We are at 90% champions. It's not done. People should learn to live with uncertainty and stop slating the team and the players. At the start of the season we'd kill to be in that position in April. We can still win the lot.

Disjointed but we had 71% possession and 90% pass completion and allowed the opponents just two shots so what wasn't joining up overall?
Ask the countless number of people who want to rip into the performance and talk about certain players having no future at the club based on today!

yeah i dont get this mentality either, of course its a great gap we have but points arent won until they are actually won!

And it's, far, far from a one off, comes the time when you have to accept that, without changes, it 'ain't going to go away.
Raheem MUST practice his finishing, I don't understand why he misses so many sitters. I imagine the stat for us losing possession is heavily weighted towards him. Maybe it's the position he's playing in - baffling.

Next we play in PL it will be away to Villa before BIG LEAGUE CUP FINAL.
Reading comments here means that people would be okay if we lose another before big game as it's done

Mate he's 26, if he was going to significantly improve his finishing it would have happened by now.

His best position is wide right. He’s been converted to an inverted winger to accommodate Mahrez &/or Bernardo... who are both left footers... get him on the right again

29 shots, only a quarter of that maybe was on target. or how many did really work the keeper?

Half of them missed target and quite a lot was proper rubbish blocked shot which was clear that those will be blocked, Jesus is the master of shots that two defender is front of him, third one is about to jump into as well to block but he makes the shot and surprise surprise it gets blocked and if we are lucky it will not deflect to opponent to start a counter from it.

this stat we had today is pretty much the overall stat from last year when we had ots of draws and losses in league and they almost all followed same pattern, 20+ shots for City, dominance and opponent scores with incredible shot conversion close to 70-80% of their shots end up goals.
imagine that for us lol.

Everyone at work saying we’ve won it, no we haven’t until we have, it’s been done in the past, Newcastle, United all thrown it away, we had more than enough out there to win this game, you can’t blame Pep at all, those players need to look at themselves. Spurs win tomorrow and we win our next two games then this will be forgotten, if it all goes tits up then we play our strongest team for the removing games, no Sterling, Torres Jesus will be in that.
