Papers are linking Brighton and West Ham with Angelino, would it not be an option for us to bring him back? Surely he counts as club trained too. I’ve been pretty impressed with him whenever I’ve watched him.
We brought him back once already under Pep. I like Angelino, but if I was him, I wouldn't trust any promises that City made after the last fiasco.
He's better than Cucurella imo from what I've seen of both.

Think I’d prefer Michael Frontzeck….. we’ll maybe not but both are ones to avoid.

Cancelo was indeed a weakness and you could clearly see that the Dippers were targetting him. He’s a wonderful footballer but he‘s not a good fullback. The way he goes on his forays upfield then doesn’t bother to get back when we concede possession reminds me of how Kolarov used to do it and constantly leave Otamendi to defend the whole left side of defence on his own.I'm disappointed we didn't get to find out. He was very good in pre-season, Bayern are hardly shite yet he was solid. Cancelo was fucking dire against the dippers. What a test for the lad it could have been getting a run out against Salah.
The fact we had two games prior meant we had to use the game on Saturday for the squad to prepare for Sunday so Cancelo had to play. Let's remember who plays at full back for Liverpool. Not exactly big money signings were they! Yet they got their chance and impressed.
Defensively it doesn't take much to improve on Cancelo. In most games he will be the starter, but I felt like Liverpool saw him as a weakness and targetted him and Ake knowing he couldn't play comfortably on his left side and closed the routes into Rodri/Grealish to force him into mistakes.
We need a left back (preferably left footed) who is able to maintain his defensive discipline or if he does go up in support of the attack is willing and able to get back quickly.
Name me one team in the league that doesnt have holes in their squad? Maybe its the reality of football that there will always be needs in the squad.One farce a summer tbh, this year it’s at lb. When pep leaves I’m not sure we’ll get away with leaving these holes in the team

I can’t remember seeing him ever stopping a cross from coming in. I respect your opinion but I don’t think he is the answer.

They have a large number of players and are strong up front, at the back, and out wide, but they have precious little guile in the middle of the park. Lots of huff and puff.Liverpool have a very strong squad despite people saying ours is better.
Yet have a midfield of thiago, henderson, fabinho, milner and keita. Imagine us going into the season with Milner and keita, people would be in full on meltdown. Their backup CB's are Konate and Gomez, again imagine us with those two.Liverpool have a very strong squad despite people saying ours is better.

Than Angelino or Cucurella?Gomez has more tackles & Interceptions, and gets dribbled past less per 90 if that helps?
