Leicester City v City post match.

proper fuck up all round, not a great day at all.

complaints; playing Fernando in a role like that, jesus. and why am i still pinning hopes on yaya, zabba, Kompany coming back from injury, Silva playing well and waiting for Aguero to return from an absence? stuck record in terms of personnel. The defence is worse, and i mean this, than most Championship teams. the predictability is astonishing. I said to a mate we'd score at least once cos we're pretty good at that, but i wasnt confident of a win, what a strange combination.

anyway, Pep is a bright sort and i reckon he can sort it out. you have to maintain a level of perspective and realise that we have played awesome stuff this season at times, but of late we're horrid. i dont like to see a team flake out like this so quickly and i dont like the way the players dont seem to bust a gut like at Barca and Bayern.

clear out some very dead wood and we'll storm that shitty league. Only chelsea (in current mode) can come close to us if we had the semblance of a half arsed defence!

Nice to hear a voice of reason.

Many factors come into play and Pep is not or should not be immune to criticism from day one in the job.

No body from the owners down would be remotely satisfied we our season to date but we have to realise despite the additions over the summer especially with none of the new additions hitting the ground running , some in fact a liability to date we would be up against it.

It won't happen but there are only a half dozen or so in the current squad that I would be comfortable with staying beyond next season that have what it takes.

Last week it was because the team couldn't finish. This week it's because the team can't defend. Sort it out Pep!!

The owners have decided that the Barca model is the one to follow. It will either work out or it won't. Only time will tell. We are just along for the ride.

And that's the problem for me. What happened if the new manager of Bristol City for instance, decided that the Barca model was the one to follow. Let's start by building from the back because it's the Barca model and let's ignore the fact that we haven't got the players who can build from the back. He'd be hung out to dry within weeks.

Where is the pragmatism that says I know where I want to go but I need to go there in stages; And during this period the style of play will evolve with the personnel at my disposal.

Playing the way we did tonight and expecting a different outcome is naivety in the extreme.
