Leicester City v City post match.

No worries mate.
I only knew the answer because I was asking myself the same question after 20 minutes yesterday.
In fact it's 30 seasons since I travelled to Filbert Street and saw us losing 4-0 at half time.
My whole life seems to have been spent moaning about City' on the M1

Those were the days eh! I remember coming back from a 6-0 hammering at derby no amount of batterings will stop me loving this club of ours in pep we trust

Look at our average position. We played with 2 defenders against Leicester. We are so congested centrally too.

Oh come on GB!
Is it Pep’s fault that we play such a high line that our defenders are exposed time after time? Yes.
Is it Pep’s fault that we dither around for so long that any defence has time to get organized before we start to push forward? Yes.
Is it Pep’s fault that we no longer press teams when they win possession? Yes.
Is it Pep’s fault that most of our attacking players rather than create space for the 1-2 pass, simply stand there statuesque waiting for the ball that once received, pings straight back to our defence? Yes.

It’s not just about transfer windows mate, we need an attitude adjustment, some rolled up sleeves and some determination. An on field general wouldn’t go amiss either. Too bad Vinny is unlikely to be that guy again.
This, all day long
Post of the thread for me

We just seemed to play to their strengths from the outset.

"Here you go JV; here's a lovely bit of space for you to run into; that'll do your confidence the world of good".

We'd have been better off playing 4-4-1-1, and soaking up their early pressure, then hitting them on the break. That would have confused the shit out of them. Instead, we just played our usual 3 at the back, high line headless chicken routine, that every team has got sussed out. All they do is wait for the inevitable gap, and pop one over the top for their front men to run on to. We fall for it week in, week out.
Good post mate

The thing I can't understand about yesterday is that Pep has a deserved reputation for being a master at studying the opposition, working out the ideal tactics to beat them. Yesterday he set us up to play as if he'd never seen Leicester, never heard of Vardy or Mahrez. One report, which I found difficult to disagree with, opined that it was as if Ranieri had been given the chance to pick our team, formation and tactics. Baffling.

I could not agree more bud. I wont bash us but this is on Guardiola. If we win the title fair do's but if matches like this end up costing us i.e. see us just second or similar then Guardiola has to look at this apparent stubborn streak as a reason, great coach that he is.

I agree with you, but I think I would forget about the title this year, you need a good defence to win this league, sadly we do not a have defence at all :-(
