Leicester City v City post match.

This game just proved we make it easy for opponents. This Leicester was struggling in the league this season, they had 3 wins in 14 games and against who? Palace, Burnley, Swansea.

None of those wins were so easy as today. They were gifted goals today like 3 times out of 4. Except that nice shot outside the box.

We made it so easy for Chelsea to score 3 last week. its the system. the system is not working, players dont get it, defenders have no idea where to be , where to move when Silva or KDB just loses possession with an easy pass being intercepted and turned instantly into a counter...

Put same defenders into a system where we are pragmatic, where they get enough protection from midfield, and they look like a real defence that can get clean sheets match after match.

Lescott-Kompany duo with Barry-NDJ front of them. Not this high line with zero protection, awful pressing.

High line can work well with good defenders only if the whole team plays by the rules of the system. High press as a team, tactical discipline, lots of balance in them team and movements etc.

Pep will not give up the system. He will tweak it, tinker it, but wont give up. The PL will be happy to punish him for it.

Is the only answer to buy, buy, buy? Mangala, Otamendi, Stones, Bony proves me otherwise.
 
What gets me is many saying Pep is a tactical genius who studies teams relentlessly before the game.

Everyone knows how Leicester play now and so set up accordingly...everyone except Pep it seems.

Oh and to answer your question....the handball was his arm tucked into his side...nothing like a handball. The two on kolarov...well at the start of the season one of those was given against us....i thought thst was very harsh and therefore it would hsve been harsh on this occasion...and i think the ref yhought kolarov was looking for it.

Anything to do with our performance or goals conceded is immaterial to the question.

The ref has missed three stonewall penalties and one that most would give.

The third (4th that you can't remember) was Nacho being hacked from behind. Bein called three of them at half time. The real 4th was the handball.

The personal digs as because in your attempt to show everyone how much you know and how correct you always are (surely wasted on here), you fail to understand the pertinent point which is that despite that performance, the ref failed to do his job.
 
Cant understand why he insists on three at the back when it doesn't work. Also the players don't seem to want to play his way

I called that virtually spot on in the pre match thread. If I can see it no wonder managers of other PL times can. Stop being so stubborn and fuckin change this shambles

One corner two pens could have been given on Stones and Kolarov, foul given against.
One corner one pen could he been given on Kolarov by Hugh.
Nacho hacked down from behind, clear penalty according to Bein.
Handball not given (weakest shout of the lot but still mostly given).

That's what I didn't get either. Everyone knew Leicester were gonna come out of the blocks fast yet our players looked like they didn't expect it at all.

I can't imagine he'll really think that, or be giving Stones and co a pat on the back in private.

I don't want to hear a manager slate any player in public.

Listen mate you guys need to buy Lloris and maybe inigo Martinez from Real Sociedad. Rodriguez would be a good Lb and maybe Manolas or Miranda. However I think Martinez and Lloris would be great buys for you guys.
