Leicester (H) | PL | Post-Match Thread

At this stage it’s the results that matter. This game is sandwiched between a draining tie v Munich. Got a good lead and then rested the more vital members of squad. No squad is full of world class players. Pep gambled possibly in the second half and it came off. It’s all good ( at the moment).

Great first half, great result, abysmal 2nd half. Too many early substitutions fuck our rhythm all the time we choose to do it. Understandable though with a huge game coming up on Wednesday

Light work, really. Great to be in the position whereby we can take our foot off the gas 25 minutes in given the game on Wednesday and run-in coming up. Not in any way concerned about the second half and how it went.

Take the 3 points and move on.

Good first half, lovely strike from Stones to set us on our way and Haaland's second was great too. It was important to get the three points with a difficult run of games coming up but after the energy and invention of the first half the second half was disappointing. Leicester pressed a bit more second half but after all the subs we seemed just a bit uncoordinated and slack. Still points and on we go to Munich.

Just got back.
What an absolute shambles of a last 20 minutes
Palmer and Philips were a disaster but the whole team went to pieces and played like 11 strangers (which they were)
Very lucky not to concede the 2nd.
Hopefully the saving grace will be that Peps eyes are re opened to see that Philips, Gomez and Palmer can be nowhere near the team for the Semi. Mahrez was a lazy twat he did nothing as a senior player to help either.

the team that finished should have been capable of seeing out the game comfortably but jeez nearly a disaster. Makes me wonder if some were sulking a bit, Mahrez for one did sweet FA ine the second half apart from one decent shot, Walker made quite a few runs and Mahrez basically refused to play him in. Phillips did ok, it’s hardly fair to hand him Rodri’s position and then take away Grealish, KDB etc.

the win is all that matters and no injuries ahead of Bayern.

Dreadful second half but actually thought it might have been better for us to struggle than to hammer them 4, 5 or 6 nil. Better to keep our feet on the ground and keep working...
