    And to think in the pre match thread he was the one player announced in the starting line up (me included).

    Football is a funny old game and thankfully our Pep realised this!

    Goal aside Vincent put in one of the best performances I’ve ever seen from a blue tonight maybe the best. You could tell he wanted it more than anyone on the field but rather than snatch at it he channeled his will. His passing between the lines that second half was as if Debruyne was on the field all while Vincent marshalled the back before popping up with a screamer.

    The perfect performance.

    Very good touch, quick, and seemed comfortable bringing the ball out. Portugal really is blessed with a wonderful generation of talented footballers.
