Leicester (H) Post Match Thread.

At the end of the season the way both teams played a home game against Leicester City may prove to be the decisive factor. Liverpool drew 1-1 with Leicester and City beat Leicester City 1-0.
In both games the home team played the better game and probably should have won the game but City got the win and Liverpool didn't. Fine margins.

Blimey I got so teary watching that. A goal by Captain Fantastic for the ages.

It's been a monumental effort by Pep and the team to claw their way back from near disaster at the turn of the year.

What a team and what a Manager!

the ominous foreshadowing!

i'm watching last 1/2 hr. again on the pvr and Begley, one of the commentators on my feed (with Ian Drury) said at 67:53

"It's the kind of occasion now that in whoever can manage to produce a goal, it's going to be remembered for a very very long time."

That'll be Billericay Dickie, he's doing very well.

couple things,
imo, nacho missed that chance on purpose, either way, whatever, but there was zero drive or commitment in that effort;)

pep's post game interview concerning out of contract at the end of the year Vinny was, well, concerning.
in a nut shell he said he didn't want Vinny to shoot, when asked he said honestly no, he didn't think Vinny could shoot like that.
really? we all know he's capable of that. and he called him old.
with the amount of games we play and what Vinny still has to offer plus his leadership and experience to teach the younger set he must remain.

Sounded very uncommitted about Vinny coming back.

Knowing when it's time for the great ones to bow out is a talent. Most fans and media types never know it. They have to see the player at half mast before calling it.
