Leicester v City post match

There are various issues on the pitch, teams doubling up on our wingers or a combo on a lack of conviction, intensity and missing Fern.

However, the elephant in the room is we aren't making opposition goalkeepers work for any saves.

In the recent three defeats, four outright saves were made, everything else was approach work, purposely being shown to cross from much further out.

Aguero, for all his fitness issues of late and trying to battle, looks poor, and hasn't looked sharp in an away game for a long time.

We can still do this in terms of the title but we need a win to get rolling again.

Not going to overreact just yet despite the miserable feeling our results are leaving recently, but we could well look back at these past few games with regret come May. Dippers will wobble, spurs will drop points against the top teams, but we need to be closer to see any advantage to that.

Fixing the issued quickly is the priority. A great team doesn't turn bad overnight. But we seem to have forgotten the simple things, goals against aside, and with the ball were not doing what we usually can do, and when losing it were not showing the same intensity in getting it back or forcing an error immediately after losing it.

Second half yesterday was worse than the first, and I was surprised at how bad we were in the first alone, as a result our own wobble looks like being a bit more than that and the media are ready to pick apart all of our achievements to date under pep if we look like losing it now. That should be the incentive now for the players, they risk being undermined for all the good they achieved last season.

Maybe too many half fit players, maybe a lack of application, whatever the reason we need it correcting by sunday / next Thursday otherwise the targets for our season change drastically.

It will always be an issue if you are 80-20 attack minded. You know that if one chance goes begging another five will turn up, four of which might be spurned. Meanwhile the opposition have netted twice and we're chasing the game.

Very rarely comment on past performance as it is gone and can't be changed but, and there is always a but, I thought for once I was so annoyed with what was going on.

If you look at how we have lost some of our games it has often been the referee who has played a large part in it. We play controlled, possession football. The teams that beat us have closed us down very, very tightly. Arsenal used to do it, the rags did it last year in the second half. What I am talking about is the ankle tapping, early and late, and slight pushing on every, and I mean every, challenge. They did and let the referee sort it out. Of course Dean just let it go but when we tried to get the ball back he blew a foul. What this does is cause the frustration we saw yesterday. Not saying we would have won but this type of refereeing doesn't help.

Also we have been scored against by 'worldies' just recently. 3 in our last 3 defeats. All from just outside the area. I still think that we could have closed these down if we had been a bit more alert instead of being relieved to clear our lines.
