If this is correct (BILD are usually fairly reliable aren't they? Or am I way off the mark there?) then I'd rather wait out til next year and see if he's actually worth the money

I could see Schalke selling him to Bayern then. This is a staring contest to see who blinks first. Interesting the lower release clause info comes out after we arrive at an impasse on price. All posturing and tactics. I think this one gets done.

Both! Include Moreno in that group too. Whats wrong with gathering as many great attacking players as you can? Whether or not Pep is here more than 3 years, he is building the team for success after he is gone. Some of these young players will be out on loan, or joining in January.... Possibly planning for an Aguero replacement down the road and maybe a Sterling replacement (not high on him if u havent noticed) in case he can't cut it.

I agree with most of your sentiments.Whisper has it that Sergio could sign an extension to his current contract,which would make him 32 years of age when he leaves.IMO and for what its worth Sterling needs more than a half decent season and hopefully the Pep Factor will help him, if not we may be looking at some of our newer younger players overtaking him.

Not saying whatever BILD is publishing is wrong, even The Sun has it right sometimes. You just need to put the two papaers next to eachother and they are very similar in the way they look and report 'news'. Kicker I think just reports sports, football mainly. You can't compare that one to BILD.

Being reputable? I'd say that goes for none of the daily papers worldwide, because journalism is influenced by whoever fares well with the report. When it comes to football, journalists are allowed to print whatever gives a few extra clicks or sell a few extra newspapers. MEN today published an article based on a tweet by a Cityfan. Not saying the guy who published the tweet is lying, or that Txiki is telling the truth or isn't. It's about a paper publishing an article based on a tweet. Now normalyy tweets serve to alert the media, but than you expect some will actually investigate if there is any truth in it. The Sun, BILD, Daily Mail, AS to name a few don't bother and just publish it or make an article about it. Knowing that when they actually contact Txiki they will probably hear: Did I? I must have misunderstood. What player you say? Jesus ... heard the name somewhere and it had something to do with religion I think ...

Love this kind of reply, we may have a difference of opinion but this a solid reply. The forum isn't what it was, hence I hardly post any more but replies like this make visits worthwhile.

Bild tend to report briefs and reports from reputable journos. In this country The Mirror, Sun and Guardian get City steers it seems. But the Guardian and Mirror are most reliable when it comes to us. Joyce gets Liverpool etc. But Bild and Kicker seem to have a more focused set of reports as a collective rather than spread out. Like John Cross and Lewis share employment at the Mirror yet Mullock is the only decent writer, Cross is Wengers mouthpiece and predicts stories using bits and bobs which result in the paper not being accurate. Lewis is just shite but a decent bloke it seems.

Too suggest city have just learnt this is complete nonsense in my opinion

Yeah but that release clause is anyways for next year, so doesn't really matter for the time being.
