With regard to the fee, why would we increase offer beyond £18m? Having pushed Moyes and Everton into a position where selling Lescott is viewed as the only reasonable outcome, where are they going to get more? Everton need cash to use in last 10 days of the window. Seems to me we hold all the cards and increasing over 18m would not make sense.

Moyes saying on SSN after the game tonight they must sign at least 4 players before the window shuts. Only way they are getting the money for that is if they sell Lescott.

He cant play for them again, they have no cover in defence and cant sign anyone until he is sold so common sense dictates this will happen now and quickly. That said Moyes has shown no common sense thus far.

I cant wait to see his excuses when he is sold for £20 million ish after saying he would never be sold at any price even over £30 million hes the boss blah blah blah......

The press and pundits are going to ream him for this when it happens.

Don't think so, its the sensible thing for moyes to do now, unfourtunatly moyes will continue to be admired by the media for sticking to his moral's for aslong as it is viable to do so, and hughes will be seen as disrespectful.

But at the end of it all, we'il have our man and everton will have fund's for more undiscovered talents as per usual.

for once the media have not jumped on this very much at all with hughes and only quoting gollum on this issue .

... and it will all be forgotten in a few weeks time!

There's no way back now. Moyes has lost Lescott and Lescott has lost the fans. (respect wise)

There's only going to be one outcome. We finally get Lescott and Moyes finally get's the money he didn't want. But how much?

The addition of Lescott will be more important than the fee they receive for him. They will sign the four players they want if / when they sell Lescott but their standard of quality will be questionable given how far Everton can actually go. I think Lescott has lost all interest in Everton Football Club. He has a contract with them but while he is there physically he's not really there in mind.
