everton have no money to spend on team building again? were does all there money go ,top 5 or 6 every year . lescott must be tempted?
ToffeeAndy said:not my fault! said:Cant say I agree with this bit... He is still owned by City isnt he? Or did I miss him joining you on a perminant deal? No player who is still contracted would slagg their own team off as they are the key to any future deal there may be in his ability to move to another club. Such as you blue bin dippers! Ok some players who are trying to leave and have a bid on the table for them may say some dodgy things about the club but Jo is on loan only at present.
Lescott pulls Jo to oneside and ask "Jo i'm thinking about this City move, what was it like there"? You dont think he'd say "I hated it man, i'm so much happier here" or words to that effect? He practically said that in the press towards the end of his loan last season, he pretty muched begged moyes to keep him at goodison

Do you really think Lescott will base maybe the biggest decision of his footballing career, on the opinion of one person who he barely knows? Our Evertonian friends have made some good points, but this was one of silliest ideas I've seen on here for a while.

What a complete load of cock. Presumably in your fairytale Lescott's reply would be: "Oh, I was going to treble my wages and take up the most exciting opportunity that will ever come my way, but if you didn't get on with Mark Hughes because you're a work-shy wuss then I'm probably best staying here."
I would guess that Lescott's more pertinent conversations would be with Gareth Barry, Wayne Bridge and Shaun Wright-Phillips. Oh, and his agent. Not to mention Garry Cook and Brian Marwood. And Khaldoon. And Sheik Mansour.
Yep, you're right. I remember hearing that Louis Saha has always been a proud Evertonian and had pictures of Gary Lineker and Peter Reid up on his bedroom wall in France during the 80s. As such, it was a dream come true for him when he finally got to pull on the famous royal blue.ToffeeAndy said:[would you want a player just coming to you for money though? Do you think any of the players you've signed have come for the money? I woulnd't ever want that for my team.

I'd imagine they'll all have pretty positive things to say to him.ToffeeAndy said:Lescott pulls Jo to oneside and ask "Jo i'm thinking about this City move, what was it like there"? quality reply mate.
tbf mate saha is an awful example, he offered to give up all his wages at everton until he was match fit! he is 1 of the few who doesn't seem to money orientated, your points are valid thoDubai Blue said:Yep, you're right. That's one theory, anyway.
The other is that Everton offered him more money than was on the table from anyone else at the time he signed.
Wake up. Footballers have been joining teams just for the money for years. It might be on a much smaller scale than the money City are currently willing to spend, but the principle is exactly the same.
