Based on what the Everton fans are saying, most of them seem to think he is leaving.

They seem pretty pissed off hes made it clear he wants to leave and are now trying to say hes shit and 6th choice english centre half (Throwing in names like King, carragher and Woodgate who have not been near a starting place for years)

Cokehead / Terry. Lescott Upson thats englands central defensive squad. Anyway his bridges are being burned very rapidly over there, they think it will happen and are trying to convince themselves he is shit and not worth anything like £22 million !

For an english central defender that is left footed that can cover left back and gets 5 - 10 goals a season I am happy for us to pay that much for him, if he can get his act together and force the deal through.

would prefer Carvalho but would be more than happy with Lescott and definitely prefer him to Upson

his goalscoring is impressive too - got 10 goals season before last

I don't know where this 'impressive goals tally' idea for Lescott comes from, he had that one great season where he scored 10 goals but for the rest of his career he's averaged a goal every 21 games or 2 a season

he's scored 16 goals in 111 games for everton

24 goals in 295 games in his career

take away his first two seasons and its 21 in 202 games

thats as good as ratio as I know of for a centre back - better than some strikers !

Certainly better than some of the ones we've bought over the years.

I bet most of those strikers have played for us :)

Moyes and Lescott are thought to have had an altercation on Monday after the England defender informed the Everton manager of his desire to leave the club for Manchester City.

Stay classy, Moyes
