Excellent point. It is clear we need two centre halves. Ned and Toure shoudn't play together, they need an organizer who is excellent in the air beside them, so we need two dominant central defenders, Lescott and one more.

You can lose any player anywhere at any time for up to 6 weeks or longer with injury, hence a squad and cover such as Ned, Kompany, Barry (if need be), Dunne, TBH, Mcgivern, Mee.

Good point, what is the use of buying quality players to have the good work undone by an average player like Dunne, now before anyone has a pop at me, I understand he is captain and was player of the season four times, but lets be honest who else did we have at the time.... Barton?, yes Dunne use to look good in a very average team.

If we play him at CB this season we might as well give the other team a 1-0 headstart, last night he jumped into challenges again, he cannot be be blamed alone obviously with TBH playing that was always going to go wrong but for Hughes to appear to have so much faith in Dunne makes me laugh, look at the corner he gave away when he didn't need to, Given gave him an earfull.

We need to make getting a CB in our number 1 aim by tomorrow so that we can ensure they atleast get a run out in the match against Celtic.

The club have said only 1 more signing which would be the 6 mentioned at the start of the window (not including Taylor he was unforseen) which is clearly going to be a defender imo it should be and needs to be 2 so we will never need to rely on TBH and Dunne

I think he is going for lescott because he is good cover for left back, if bridge does not improve on last season i can see our back four being; Richards/Zabaleta, Toure, Neddy, Lescott.

The club have never said there was a specific limit on the number of players we would sign, there was a loose target but it has always been made clear that if the right players are available to improve the squad we will be interested.
