Haha yeah course it has, hmmm would you like cash or cheque David, is that what the delay is?

I reckon it could be down to the complexities of the deal:

Is there another player involved in the deal who is reluctant to go the other way?

Could the clubs be haggling over the value of this player?

Could it be that the agents of this player want their 'fair' pound of flesh?

Or it could be a simple as Everton wanted 24-hours grace after signing their Russian so that they could get their PR message across to the fans without Lescott swamping the news agenda?

Watch this space......

Surely i can't be the only one who would giggle like a girly if this deal all went to shit & we pulled out, leaving Everton with an extremely p1ssed off player

Interesting stuff, add to that he wont play against Crystal Palace even if we sign him before the game. He might make his debut against Pompey though.

Where's that from?

Anyone know if he's trained with us yet?

what are you asking about?

I doubt it, it has not been confirmed yet.

Me personally I'd Love it, Just Love it if we backed out of the deal and said that Moyes was right all along. Them having already spent a fair bit of cash today.

Go back on the last day of the window with an £18million bid. Have someone else lined up incase they hang on to their principals :o)

whats happening with lescott , why the fuck hasent he signed yet, he passes medical and agrees personal terms and then it goes a bit pete tong.

No theres two of us, I also like the one about pulling back til the last day and going back with less money - much less.

You seem to be forgetting that we need Lescott quite badly.

I think city should stop messing around and sign the guy already before the media start going on about how the deal has been delayed another day

I would love to see everton fail, but certainly wouldn find that funny; remember lescott has done a lot to help this deal happen, handing in a request etc; AND...I feel he would be a massive addition to the squad, Onouha and Lescott will be the pairing in a few years time when Toure is too old. This season Onohua could play RB if Richards n Zabaletta don't perform, but Lescott is a better CB than him, and Dunne is past it now for our level, so I think it is important we get Lescott.

About why he won't play vs Palace.

Alright, fair enough. Probably he hasn't trained with the squad yet. The game is on Thursday. Most likely, if the deal is confirmed tomorrow then he will train two days, after that it's a possibility that he might be involved in game against Palace.

everton signing players when they have'nt got any money maybe city are wanting to stagger the payments to fcuk everton over the deal being dragged out so long....
or could it be we are now skint no money left broke ??

Wonder if Everton have annoyed City (ie Everton could have had an agreement with us that the fee be undisclosed then Everton could have leaked it?....only guessing)

City could then, in return, stall on the deal until the last minute so we get our man and Everton have no time to spend the money before the window closes.

If Everton have made any commitments banking on the money being paid upfront then they've been a bit silly!

It's a strange one as OS announced we had reached an agreement to buy...

"The move is subject to the player agreeing personal terms and passing a medical"

If both those are ok (as people seem to think) then any monetary issues would have already been agreed before now you would have thought.

Something funny going on!

agreed something needs said now to be honest.even a statement saying things are progressing or held up or done or not?? this should not have taken this long from sunday afternoon!!

why is everyone so worried about this? He's coming...even if he doesnt we are well covered.

he's good but he's not as good as this thread would have you think.

you'd swear we were in for Messi ;-)
