The silence from our resident blue dippers is deafening...

They are all preparing their page long responses to why Gollem is right and its really in their best interests to keep a player that doesnt want to play for them.

Not to mention that City are shit/have no history/have no class/won't gel/couldn't ever in a million years be better than the mighty Everton and Moyes is the best manager ever so why don't we shut up and get back to being mediocre

If everton want to play hard ball then we should recall Jo.

Fuck them... why should we strenthgen their side when they are acting like twats. Get him back and loan him to one of their rivals instead.

Sigh. As previously discussed, with any loan over 93 days (3 months) a recall is not permitted. Jo is Everton's player until the season ends, whether City, or Everton, like it or not.

we should offer max £20 mill and if they dont take it walk away. If the player wants to go and we offer a fair price we should get him. Even moyes won't be that stupid if he thinks we are serious

Getting through to the knockout stages of the champions league gets in £20million in revenue.

Therefore Lescott for £26million (negotiated price) would be a good deal if it gets us in top 4.

without the £26million spend we don't get in top 4 (in my eyes)

You won't be getting into the Top 4 with him anyway

The source is an Everton first teamer.

He stated some time back that Lescott had been approached by us and wanted the move to happen from a very early stage, indicating his willingness at the time to force the issue through. For the last couple of weeks my source has not been with his Everton colleagues and so news has not been forthcoming other than the odd indication from chats with team mates etc that nothing had changed. He is back with them this week and yesterday the info I got back was that Lescott had indeed verbally informed the club he wanted to SPEAK to city (my source indicated that this was the norm as officially he would not have spoken to us at this point, even though it seems common knowledge he or his agent at least have, and know the deal). His request was refused and he again was told that he features in the managers plans. Now at this point he was also apparently told that he should think long and hard if he were planning to hand in a transfer request as not only would this be made public it would also be refused. My source said that there is definately an atmosphere developing about this at the club but surprisingly it appears to be Evertons insistance on not being reasonable as opposed to Lescott not wanting to stay that is the main source of discussion amongst the players.

The player in question passed me this info reluctantly (he is an extremely close friend of a family member). In light of this I wont be asking him for any further info. At the start of all this he was 100% confident Lescott would come to us, Now he thinks he wants to still come but really doesnt know if Lescott has the bottle to call Moyes bluff. It looks like its coming to an end now anyway so lets wait and see.

Well, this now seems very very accurate and relevant looking at this mornings events. I originally posted this on the 5th and have not spoken to him since (and dont really see a need to now, He had originally stated Lescott's desire to leave in mid June on page 44, you will need to highlight my post at the top to see, sorry). Based on the accuracy of events I have posted this again for the benefit of our visiting dippers.

Now who's talking bollox and making stuff up ;o)

Completely agree 100% with what you have said.we have loaned them a striker who was once our transfer record. We are no doubt paying some of his wages 'cos the Toffees are so piss poor and yet they haver been complete bastards all summer. I am proud about the way we have quietly gone about out business this summer. But now the time has come for there to be no more Mr nice guy and just be ruthless about this.

If he holds Lescott against his wishes EVERY player will be unsettled as they know Everton are only looking out for Everton.

To be fair to Wigan they handled selling Palacious and Valencia with total class...like Pompey with Johnson and Crouch.

Moyes needs to accept Everton arent on our level anymore.

Let this be on record - Lescott will never play for City. He will remain at Everton this season and probably sold to Arsenal next season

I wouldn't be so certain

we'd need to gel very quickly this season to get Top 4 so it maybe out of reach but the following season with an other couple of improvements and it a real possibility
