Let the bodies pile high.

Credit to the tories on here for still fighting the corner of the shit cunts in charge.
They must wake up each morning dreading to see the headlines informing them of the latest blunders and incompetence yet still bravely put across their arguments that everything is rosy and Boris has got this..
Delusion is a strange thing.
There are people on this site and all across the country who would "let the bodies pile high" twice as much as they do now and still defend the government as their political views are more important than the lives of people they don't know. Look at America, they are one if not thee most patriotic countries in the western world and 10s and 10s of millions would have seen it burn if it meant keeping their side in power.

What bugs me is that I haven’t seen one Tory say we’ve fucked up , it’s a cult . All they say is wouldn’t be any better under Labour !!

what a shit argument.

why can’t they demand better ??

I mean how shit do you have to be for your closest advisors to want to replace you days after winning an 80 seat majority.

Anybody carrying on thinking a Corbyn government would be worse is just living in a fantasy land

It comes from the top.
Watch any week’s PMQ’s and you’ll see the lying fraud consistently tell us how they’ve done better than labour could ever dream of.
And to prove his point, he’ll throw in a three-word slogan and a bit of immature name calling.
Hurrah!! Just what the country needs!

I have now watched the full Cummings interview.

Whilst he may be discredited because of his eye related covid adventures and consequent lying, his interview is damning on Johnson, I can not recall another interview quite like it. He has basically trashed Johnson and shit all over his head.

The important point though out of it all in my opinion is what effect the interview has on the upcoming public enquiry. Cummings has removed the first brick and at the enquiry those closest to Johnson have to answer under oath and if Cummings account is vindicated as being correct the whole house could cave in, in fact the Tories as a party could implode.

With Labour currently a shambles, a Tory party disintegrating could reshape UK politics for a generation and it is quite feasible we have a complete realignment of UK politics.

A vacuum like that is either scary or quite an opportunity depending on your political persuasion.

You don't need hindsight. If you read the exposes in the Times, which have chronicled how and when decisions were made, there were numerous delays when the govt knew enough to act.

Every other party in Parliament was asking for action well before it was taken. The "it's been a very difficult time, and we did everything we could, knowing what we did at the time" is the line that the Tories have decided to avoid any discussion.
Cummings said it. Johnson delayed the second lockdown precisely because Starmer had said they should do it sooner.

Been true for 30 years. The changeover point doesnt move much with time either. People grow up and release whose money Labur uses when they promise the moon on a stick.
Yeah, get to the point when you start costing the state more for fixing your health and paying your pension, and start voting for the party that opposed the whole concept of the welfare state paid for the younger half of the populace.

His interview was a damming indictment on politics as a whole. Even if a public enquiry pointed all ten fingers at Tory ineptitude, the public would, at most, shrug and carry on regardless. Two party politics is here to stay. David Steel told the Liberals to go home and prepare for government. They’re still at home and they won’t be needing a key to Downing Street any time soon. Nor will anyone else. Such are the optics, the Tory party will be in power regardless of any enquiry. Labour are playing out a rerun of the 79, 83, 87 and 92 elections, ie they’re pissing in the wind. Johnson knows this, ergo, he’ll be sleeping well tonight, Cummings hasn’t laid a glove on him. Sadly.

I despair at the lack of, well, anything coming from the Labour Party. That Starmer is fucking useless. I recall typing this almost word for word months ago and no thing's changed. A new and dynamic leader is needed ASAP or that void you mention may well be filled by something far worse than the current govt.
