Libya (Merged)

When the shit hits the fan, the 'we have no business there' ones will be the first to take it up the arse from the fascists.

apparently the west is considering dividing Libya into two parts - diesel and unleaded

thats probably about right but the unleaded brigade have got there premium performance splinter group demanding a higher price still

might have to be three parts

Rumours have been circulating online and in mainstream media for about two weeks that Khamis Al Gaddafi, son of Muammar Gaddafi, has been killed. They say the 27-year-old militia leader, who runs a brigade which carries his name, was killed during an air raid on Bab Al Aziziya Compound, where the Gaddafis reside in Tripoli. Unconfirmed reports add that his brother Muattasim was killed by Gaddafi for ‘refusing to follow' orders.

I'm glad opinions like yours cb are in the overwhelming minority and I'm proud of my country for helping those poor buggers who without us would be dying hand over fist on the whim of that mad despot.

With such moral superiority, let's hope that you're equally disgusted at this country for supporting despotic regimes.

It's easy to take the high ground when the despots that we've been supporting start to falter due to civilian uprisings, as Cameron's recent comments in the ME show, but it's less so when civilians are put under the boot daily with the help of 'our' governments.

I find it quite tasteless, as well as embarrassing, to see someone who doesn't understand, or refuses to acknowledge, elementary moral principles making such moralising comments. And this doesn't just go for you, it goes for many other making similar comments.

Lets face facts there is a civil war now going on in Libya & the west is taking sides & providing air cover for the anti Gadaffi faction .it is only going to end in tears just like every othe rtime we poke our noses in places where we shouldnt
You know what cb, you won me over, lets pull out of this coalition and leave em to it, I can always turn off the tv when the 6 o clock news comes on and shows images of the body littered streets of Benghazi.

I can't take you seriously cb, why dont you follow the live coverage on the beeb for a bit, one the latest updates is as follows

'The joy over the relief supplies so far only in the hospital was huge,' said Dr Nagi Idris founder of 'Global Relief for Libya'... Medeor.org is responding to urgent requests for additional relief consignments, which are packed and should arrive by the end of the week."

The mad despot as you call him has been brutalising his population for decades yet the west not only stood back & done nothing ,they actualy invested millions of pounds in his regime .where do you think he gets his weapons from ? the coalition is so hyprocritical it is untrue .the leaders of Jordan ,Syria ,Bharain ,Algeria are killing there own people but nothing is done to intervene

His weapons mostly come from the former soviet union he is a socialist we did sell him some tear gas but that was the extent of it

I would not worry too much he will be on the end of a rope soon enough

We were also very happy to invest his money for him

So what you're saying although you will deny it, is that having done something bad we shouldn't support the government when they decide to do something good. Did you stop to think that the world moves on and yesterdays policy isn't todays excuse.
