I know what you mean, he is due a good game against them but I think it's too big a gamble to start him. We need everyone at their best tonight and Bernardo Silva will be well up for it. Sterling off the bench with a stretched game and a point to prove could be interesting
Yep both Silvas - Sterling if needed later. Both Silvas to start please, let's pass them into the ground. Let them run around like headless chickens with trying desperately to rouse the tourists in that library they call a ground with their one trick pony gegendepressing. Then when they tire we go all out.
As my old man says from your mouth to gods earsPlease God yes.
Bernardo in for Sterling.Ederson
Walker
Otamendi
Kompany
Delph
Fernandihno
Debryune
Silva
Sterling
Sane
Jesus.
Easist 11 all season.
Our heads don't tend to drop any more. We'll still try and play the way we always play.I'd love to say 3-1 to City.
But we always start slowly at Klanfield and if we concede first our heads will drop and we will lose. It's nearly always the same.
Yes. We have to remember that this is not a Premier League game where ref's don't often like giving early cards. Too many "welcome to the game" challenges go unpunished in the PL, specially on our more creative players. Silva used to get a good kicking most games, but has become more apt at dealing with it recently.Despite his poor performances at Anfield in the past there’s no way I’d be leaving Sterling out tonight.
Hopefully Pep will put his arm around him and give him the confidence and opportunity to shut the scousers up.
The thought of him scoring or even better getting the winner surely outweighs the possibility of him having a quiet game.
Also, any over-the-top challenges to get the crowd on side you’d hope would result in cards being shown.
Sterling has already shown mental toughness throughout the season and this will only go towards his character building, which will stand him in good stead for the rest of his City career
Bernardo retains the ball better. It's him, or even Gundogan in there next to Fern, for me tonight. Sterling to rattle 2 in at our place next week to seal the tie.
