This exactly. Taylor allowed the occasion to get the better of him and it wasn't the only unforgiveable mistake he made. Stopping the game and Red carding Bingo when our attack was in full flow just handed the initiative right back to them. He could have let the attack play out and then carded the spoilt c**t.

Still seething from that goal we gave away yesterday. From schoolboy football through to my adult football days, it was always make sure you don't leave one on one at the back when we have a corner or free kick. Pep and his team are obviously brilliant coaches, but that was such a basic mistake to make.

Very good at the long ball game aren't they? Numerous times the ball was yeeted into the air and they are very accomplished at bringing it down quickly, turning and then suddenly they're at you. Very effective. I bet that's practiced a lot on the training pitch.

That's been their style for the past few years, they bypass their midfield because all they have in their are runners with no skill and vision their job is to close the opposition down. Basically they are Wimbledon with better players.

Have a real worry now that Pep doesn’t think our usual system will work in the tough away games.

Individual performances will improve no doubt but if he’s going to try 3 at the back at Anfield/Stamford Bridge/Allianz/Bernabau because he doesnt fancy his full back options, it’s a real real concern if he have any chance of winning the CL.

Zin out and only Gomez in was a terrible move all round for this season.

This can still be corrected for the second and longer half of the season after Christmas perhaps.

Cancelo’s delayed response to his fuck up pissed me up as well. There’s a moment where he’s just looking about like he’s bemused before he sets off after Salah. Pathetic passage of play

I think the VAR and the initial formation and Cancelo being skinned by Salah are all big and frustrating talking points that i have processed through, plus other bits like Haaland not quite setting Foden up and Kev's terrible free kick and so on, but I cannot get my head around the substitution policy, when we were basically struggling to get in their box from about the 75th minute. Go for broke and overload Milner or something, just do something, instead of letting the game fizzle away and die. Shame that.

Everyone ended up in weird positions, Foden was isolated for a good hour, De Bruyne didn’t look good on the right. They didn’t give Rodri the time to take the ball from the defence and get his head up. Gomez has made an alright start to his City career however I think we should have paid the extra money for Cucurella. We changed our formation being wary of Salah and it didn’t work at all.
