100% correct. Both play too high up the pitch when they play together then when we lose possession we get exposed on the break.

It's not always run at players and play at high tempo everytime. He's learning and implementing exactly what Pep has been teaching him.. Learn to understand game ryhthm and play with more control and lower tempo. Maybe a Foden from 2 years ago would've been doing what you're crying out for him to do. It's our one Achilles heel, we played the spectacle and not the game. At no point did we ever play our game, where as the dippers played theirs from the start. They love a confrontational atmosphere, they always have and we played into their hands once again. We concentrated to much on how they would play as opposed to how we should play in that atmosphere. We should have just passed the ball around and nullified them by effectively being boring, worn them out and then take the game to them, instead we engage them in a bare Knuckle fight in a bear pit that isn't our game and wonder how we lost .

Like I said a week ago. If Oliver was ref today there would have been no call to the monitor. Darren England the worst of VAR officials would have been scared stiff to overule Oliver, and Taylor should be the same, they are both world cup referees.

Oliver would have probably given the foul at the time.

Agreed. They harped on all game about allowing certain fouls. If that happens at the half way line do you go all the way back to it just to disallow a goal?
