Liverpool - post match thread.

We have a manger who wasn't keen coming to us. We have wasted a chance to takeover from the rags and chavs as the dominant team. As it stands Pep may not be in charge this time next year. Total *uck and a criminal waste of the sheiks money.
I agree with that, the last two years have been a complete waste of time for us fans as it's clear the board and everyone else were just waiting for pep.

bluwes, your judgment is as bad as Karen's and one or two other paranoid members. I'm a lifelong blue. 'Raggy comment.......' How pathetic can you get. Put yourself in SM's position. Super rich though he is, he's invested hundreds of millions in the team and doesn't quite have the progress he will have hoped for. Hart, Kompany and Zaba were bought for bargain prices before SM came. Silva was a bargain at £24m in SM's time. However, although his investment has delivered a level of success we always dreamed of, if I was SM I would still be disappointed when looking at the bigger picture. When we're not winning the Prem we should be a close second - 100 per cent constant effort.
Stop digging or don't,up to you

but, but, but...he hasn't had 2 or 3 transfer window.....neither has Conte.

I am firmly behind Pep, but those making excuses for him surely see he won't adapt with what he has.

We knew he was coming; he spent 150 million this summer but we still don't have the required players for how he wants to play. Maybe the long term vision will prove worthwhile.

It's going to take time and I think he'll get it right. Currently he's a little too stubborn for what this league requires.

I mean, why the fuck wait till the 85th minute to change things.

The need for new fullbacks is now critical. That alone will probably cost the best part of another 60 plus million.
Conte got lucky like pellegrini good players upset with the previous manager a few tweaks and the players are happy winning games again

Too many players still getting a wage who are way past their peak years. Too many clappers coming out with too many excuses.

Definitely.

The 2013 FA Cup Final and 12/13 season in general always made me question the mentality of some of our top players. I always remember Gary Neville saying that although we could be very very good we were also very unreliable. I guess in that sense the QPR game would sum that up. Any other top side would have thrashed QPR that day and not needed a last minute winner.

In terms of the old guard

Aguero is a world class goal scorer but he isn't a world class footballer.

Silva can be extremely passive and although he's pleasing on the eye, he sometimes doesn't impact on the overall flow of the game enough.

Others like Yaya and Zabaleta have just been beaten by age and Kompany has been wrecked by injuries.
Kolarov, Zabaleta, Toure and Aguero will be gone in the Summer. I think Guardiola knows what he is doing and we'll rebuild. We need to finish top 4 this season, and I am sure we will.

Today was a bad defeat, but the performance was not that bad. But I feel that had we not conceded that goal, Liverpool would have still nicked one at some point. Stones is such a weak central defender. He's never where the danger is. That happened against Chelsea. We're fragile at the back, and Aguero has lost half a yard. Not the team we were. But that's the consequence of sitting on our backside for two years under Pellegrini.

In that case maybe think twice before you post. Especially tonight, when a lot of people are pissed off, especially with that first half performance.
The Sheikh will not be pulling out, its more than just the club
I'm pissed off. But this is a forum for opinions - not some place where people are not allowed to post things that might upset you and Karen.
