Liverpool Post Match

The most ridiculous thing is that people (including the manager) seem to think that pushing Silva up is much different in terms of formation than if it's Dzeko up there with Aguero. It doesn't make us any more solid in the centre of the park and just gives us no out ball and starves Sergio of the ball in decent areas.when we are playing teams who press us like Liverpool and Arsenal we just can't get out. If he'd tried it against a much better pressing team like Barca we'd have barely got in their half.

That doesn't mean I think Dzeko should start in these type of games either I'm just pointing out his plan B is shite too.

What pisses me off is that im not pissed off at all..............said we'd be lucky to scrape a point in pre-match and got called a flapper.

It's not flapping, it just seemed to me to be stating the obvious........and tbh didn't think for a second during the game we would get anything from it.

It's not just the system it's the players in it, Nasri offers fuck all, Silva takes little kit Kat moments, Kompany has been off form for some time, Zabba is blue through and through but is limited, yaya is half the player he was, I keep hearing ffp has had an effect, I disagree, it's the way our money was spent, Fernando, Mangala, Fernandinho, Jovetic, Caballero, Bony, are a waste of money at a time when we should of been prudent. Compare it to Hazzard, Costa, Fabregas, Courtois, Matic. It's a joke.

We need younger players especially in defense and midfield.

I don't think Bony is a complete waste. Every time he's played so far has been as a 4-4-2. Time to play him as a lone striker or support striker.

Sorry but I don't blame the players and manager equally on this one. The manager deserves most of the the blame for this disaster and lack of insight how to set up a proper midfield against an attacking side. Can't sit back and watch him choose the same played out tactics every week.

Kit Kat moments?
Take a break, have a kit Kat.

And THAT, my friends, should kill the biggest MYTH around here - that we are better going 4-5-1...

We are just not built for it, and we invite MORE pressure, while losing any kind of edge going forward.

People keep calling for it is a joke...oh, well...

Firstly 4-4-2 will work fine if everyone works their socks off to close the opposition down when we lose the ball. Aguero & Dzeko needed to occupy the back four, which they mostly did. The problem is when we have Nasri, Silva & Yaya all playing the playmaker roll but aren't too keen on doing the graft unlike Coutinho ,Lallana today and the Barca midfield on Wednesday. People on here have sarcastically questioned if people "track back" when we sign a player as if it is not needed. It is vital in the modern game.
Like Mancini's final season, there seems unrest in the squad, which is bound to happen the way Jovetic has been dropped, Nastasic was treated the same and constant chopping and changing. It was strange why they were so late out at half time and then put in such a poor performance.
It is time for a clearout and bring some academy players into the 1st team squad while adding a couple of proper world class players not spending ridiculous amounts on average players.
Saying that, I thought Mangala was good today, along with Aguero, Dzeko and Fernandinho, two of who got subbed!! When I saw Fernando warming up to come on I think that was the time I thought that Pellegrini has finally lost it.

THANK YOU ! Hopefully gets into the heads of everyone who are on about the team and formation selection ! There is no way we can play a 4-5-1 with Aguero (there is no way out). If we have to play Aguero we have to play 4-4-2.

442.No Pressure, giving the likes of Joe Allen time and space. Bossed by Joe fucking Allen says it all really.
